This is a convenient store, locally owned by nice folks that have a taqueria in the back.

I've heard good things about this place but this was my first time eating there.

I got three tacos, one beef, one chicken and one pork, because I wanted to try them all but two would have been plenty.

The tacos were delicious and the service was pleasent.

You might want to get your food to go though.

There are a couple of tables for eating outside but the area is cluttered with trash and maintenance equipment.
I enjoy eating outside whenever possible and it wouldn't take much to make it a nice outside eating area.

Loved it. Great carnitas burrito. Huge portions. Amazing prices. And a little more than Mexican food is on the menu. Over all still a amazing place at a great price after all these years. I Def prefer their burritos over the competition. And the drinks they have, in the refridersted are, are unique for sure. Can't wait to go back! Definitely need to try all the menu. And baklava is there as well. One of the best I've had.

I have been coming to Johns market for decades. Their tacos and burritos have never failed to impress me with their taste, quality, and quantity. They know Spanish and English language which is helpful to many of the migrant workers that come to work the pear sheds and wine grape fields. You should be warned however, once you enjoy their food you will keep going back 🤣. If this happens, please invite the younger generations to go with you so they can enjoy it for decades also 😉 😋 😊 🌮 🌯

I ordered a Large veggie burrito! I asked with no jalapeno, no hot spicy! I got a giant veggie burrito with no jalapeno. It just had beans, rice, one tsp sour cream, hot spicy and a few greens what was not fresh! I went to Clear Lake state park to have my lunch. It was bigger just for me. I opened it for eating just inside essential it was rice and beans what I paid almost 15 dollars! The guy in front of the market treated me very nicely, but I can not say the same for the Lady who made my burrito. I think she is the owner her name is Maria. I did not leave a tip I forgot, but she doesn't deserve it anyway! Be alert of what you buy for taking out! There I am sure Maria takes advantage of it!

Hay, for those of you that have not heard, John Market, changed hands a little while back. Since then I have only been in the store a handful of times. Bob and Maria "formerly the owners" , have been so nice, as to have given the new owners , a parting gift 🎁 , they have stay on, to help them get established "the new store owners" by working with them, and helping in the store. Introducing them, to all the long time customers,and like Bob helping out with the delicious barbecued food, that they offer,at the store every Friday night, and I saw Maria helping out in the deli . So, over all I would recommend, the shopping experience to anyone looking, for the quote "feel at home feeling when they are shopping.

Don't expect tidy and beautiful when you go to John's Market Taqueria, but DO expect delicious food from the deli in the back of the store. The staff members are friendly and helpful, and their food is soooo good. The portions are generous enough for dinner one night and lunch another day. We love the place!

The place has new owners. The food is still pretty good but I miss how Maria used to pile the tacos so high and put lots of sour cream. The front is much neater and more modern now.
