Cute little shop with tasty food, great coffee (and other drinks) and gelato! The shop is very warm and inviting (tons of light), has a cute little kids corner with toys, and has a large outdoor area for when the weather is nice. They also don’t over sweeten their specialty drinks, which is a plus in my book.

Our first stop at JC since their move to Lein Rd. Food is every bit as good and service efficient and friendly. Sorry it took us so long. Had the stuffed grilled cheese sandwich and the BOLT sandwich. Both were very good. Nice light supper. Also had the excellent hot cocoa.

Java Cat is a wonderful place! The coffee is great - always hot and fresh, with a big choice of milk and creamers, and the cold brew is excellent. They have a great selection of teas and other drinks, fresh bakery, a lunch and dinner menu that includes kids options and delicious gelato. There is plenty of easy parking so it is easy to pick up takeout or park to eat in.
The service is super friendly and quick and the space is wonderful. There is lots of uncrowded seating and it’s a perfect place to read or get some work done on your own, or hold a work meeting or a gathering of friends. The space is bright and cheerful, full of art and light, and unlike many restaurants the acoustics are very human- friendly. Even during the busy times you can hear each other talk and also hear yourself think.
There’s a great children’s area with cushions and games right in the front dining space and the children of regular customers seem very much at home there. There’s a ramp to the front entrance, the space and bathrooms are accessible, and the staff are happy to shift tables and chairs around.
The outside is a real hidden treasure of a space with outdoor seating areas, a great breeze, your choice or sun or shade, a peaceful vibe and a visiting family of sandhill cranes.
It is pet friendly with leashed dogs allowed in a portion of the space, and waste bags and water bowls provided.
I look forward to visiting Java Cat often! 🐈‍⬛☕️🐈‍⬛

Been here, on and only time to give it a try when my favorite coffee shop was close. It’s evident the staff pick and choose who they are going to be nice to, and yes I believe it’s based on bias. Coffee was mediocre and half filled… ordered a bagel for an obnoxious cost and was handed a cold bagel and a container of cream cheese. I could have saved the $ and got better food elsewhere.

The only slight redeeming quality is the building and property. It seems like the owner or staff seem to put their energy more into ensuring their views and opinions are seen and heard, than running a business.

Everything on their menu is delicious! The building is beautiful with big windows, the staff is unique and kind and very inclusive. They even have an area for kids to play and a high chair! All over a wonderful place to spend your time and money at. 🥰 🌈⭐️☕️

This was my first time at Java Cat. Everyone was really friendly! I got a breakfast roll and a gingerbread latte. They were able to sub oatmilk for my drink, which was so great. I was greeted right away and my food and coffee were quick to come out. The atmosphere here is wonderful. Overall a great experience!

The food was edible at the very least but wasn't anything special. It was however the best part of it. The cashier needed me to repeat my order multiple times and after i paid they still needed me to repeat it again to clarify. My girlfriend and I were not told that there would be no tables open whatsoever so we stood around and waited for someone to get up before we got to sit down. The coffee was terrible and tasted like instant coffee you could get at the dollar store and was definitely not priced as so. Also for a place that was advertised to be cat themed it was lacking in cat related things. There was a cat statue tucked away in the corner and a tapestry with a cat pattern on it but that was all that I could find. (I was actively looking). The floor was also filthy. Will not be going back.
