Really nice staff. Pull-apart cinnamon roll/muffin was wonderful. Latte had a pretty design in the foam. Espresso in the latte was bitter - I was there very early, so maybe they hadn't had a chance to calibrate and clean the machine? Atmosphere is casual and clean, but not warm and cozy.

I went into James Coffee in Escondido while on vacation with my wife and we both agreed that is was the best coffee shop we had ever been to. I ordered a Mexican Mocha, which I would drink every day for the rest of my life if I could. The care with which every step of the drinks were made showed me how much they care about making the best drink possible. They were all so helpful and accommodating - we fell in love with this place. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, we would give James Coffee 10 stars.

Nice little cafe in downtown Escondido. Nicely decorated and the vibe is very chill. Coffee is decent, and I would choose it any day over generic Starbucks. Still a bit expensive for the quality but worth it for the atmosphere. About $6-7 for a drink. The selection of pastries is a bit limited, would love to see more. Super friendly stuff!!

Feeling a little conflicted about this place. I love their cinnamon iced latte made with oat "milk." Love their cardamom pastry. But they let my favorite little ray-of-sunshine employee go this week after not being the best to her, and I'm struggling to rectify this in my coffee-shop-loving-but-also-a-mom heart.

Great coffee spot. It’s on a random street tucked away, but it’s an awesome spot. Love the vibe of this place. Who knew a coffee shop this cool was in Escondido. Staff is great, coffee is great. I will say that the pastries are a tad on the sweet side so be sure to get a coffee along side one. But any one working remotely would love this place. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the Escondido area.

First time here, I’m new to the area and being a “coffee snob” I’ve enjoyed visiting coffee shops in the area. I’ll definitely be back here, the lemon almond poppyseed muffin was very delicious as was my Brown sugar Latte ! The atmosphere is conducive to visiting with friends or studying, they have easy access to outlets for phones or computers, music was upbeat but not distracting.

Great coffee and baked goods with a focus on sustainability. The staff is young and not that friendly or welcoming, so that chills the experience a bit. The furnishings fit the vibe, but I wish it was a bit cozier, with some fabrics or cushions or something to soften it up (especially in the winter). Out of the way location, but worth finding it for a good coffee (I like the honey cinnamon)!
