As someone from the Caribbean who knows good food, I can confidently say this place was amazing. The flavors were authentic—real Jamaican taste, just like home-cooked food. I got the curry chicken, rice and beans, cabbage and fried plantains!
It was very good!
My favorite was the curry chicken and fried plantain flavors together and the cabbage was good too! it was all good! I might try the jerk chicken next time!

The high reviews make sense. I stopped by yesterday after work and I’m grateful I found this tucked-away spot. It may be a hidden, low-key location, but good food travels by word of mouth.

I ordered oxtails with rice & cabbage, plantains, and a pineapple-ginger drink. The oxtails were tender and full of flavor (the gravy is a main character), and the rice & cabbage were delicious. The plantains weren’t the usual fried-crispy style but more baked/less oily and still really good. The drink was fresh and bright. On my way out I was offered a small sample of the mac & cheese, also delicious. One person was holding down the front, and I’m not sure if there’s one or two in the back, but whoever is behind that stove: your food comforted my soul.

From the first bite to the last sip, I felt cared for. In times like these, that kind of comfort matters. I could taste that the food is cooked with love and that’s an ingredient that can’t be copied. May your kitchen stay busy and your blessings overflow. As soon as you enter you are welcomed in cheerfully. It's quiet with a tasteful song list playing like Whitney Houston in the background
Many people pick up to go and JAH B has all the delivery convenience as well.

It's not fast food so you can call it in if you do not have patience. But you can make it an eat in experience if you choose so that you and your partner have time to conversate. I personally like this because restaurants now seem to rush you through your meal and hover over you. This will not happen at JAH B.

The food is flavored to the right level. Jerk and Curry should not be so hot that you lose the flavor of the meat. You should still taste the oxtail, the goat as well as the chicken. If you are looking for something different and not the same old same old, you've got to stop here at this restaurant.

By the way, the cabbage and the plantains are on point as well.

Driving through the area and needed something to warm my belly after a long weekend of drinking. The oxtail got me right! Huge portions, delicious food, and incredible service. My family had the jerk chicken and curry goat and, let me tell you, our table was SILENT the entire meal. Ahah
