This was a completely underwhelming and disappointing visit to Oglebay. Ivy Cottage is old and outdated, definitely needs to be updated. We ate at the Glassworks restaurant and the entire experience was terrible. We had 10 people, they don't take reservations and we were told 45 minutes to an hour wait..the wait ended up being an hour and a half. Our waitress tried hard but this place was a complete and utter failure. The resort itself is hard to navigate, nothing is marked clearly to tell you were to go when driving to the cabin or driving through the light show. The light show was ok at best. Just a bunch of pre-made lit up subjects, the trees weren't really decorated at all. I gave 2 stars only because our cabin was big enough for the entire family to enjoy and the kids liked that the deer would eat out of your hands. I wouldn't return and don't recommend Oglebay at all.
