This is our favorite coffee shop in the area. We have been coming here since they opened, and it's great to see them thriving! Lines can get long and it's always worth the wait. The staff are super friendly and always drum up conversation with customers.

Let me start by saying that Iron & Kin is my favorite coffee shop in Claremont. The baristas are friendly, personable, and make excellent drinks. Pastries are delicious, coffee is great, and you can buy bags of high-quality whole-bean coffee of different roasts/ regions.

Atmosphere is an open and airy warehouse style, with skylights and wood floors. (Music is at a pretty loud volume, so not recommended as a quiet workspace, unless you bring noise-canceling headphones.)

The main issue is TRAFFIC FLOW. Expect to wait anywhere between 20-40min even for a simple drip coffee. There is no quick in-and-out to grab a pastry, so plan ahead (and don't come if you're short on time). The main issue is that their set-up is backward from most coffee shops: the register is at the end, not the front of the line. Rather than ordering, paying, and stepping out of the way to wait for your drink, you wait in line at the counter, and everyone behind you also waits for your drink to be made. I've waited in line upwards of 40min just to buy a bag of coffee.

Bottom line: Love everything about this place except the crazy long wait (easily solvable either by moving the register, or starting the line on the opposite side). Go for excellent coffee and fabulously friendly staff, when you have time to spare.

Another Claremont gem, this spot draws quite the crowd but the line moves relatively quick. I ordered their Worthy Latte, highly recommend! My friend ordered the Birria Burrito, for the price and what you get, I don’t recommend it. Overall, great spot for coffee!

As a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur who makes coffee at home, I must say this is the best cup of cappuccino I’ve ever had. The espresso has a balanced flavor which paired perfectly with the textured milk. There were no signs of large bubbles in the milk, indicating that it was steamed correctly. The drink wasn’t too hot either, the temperature was just right. 10/10 I would get it again.

Coffee is great but why does it take so long to get my coffee. The ownership probably tells the staff that chatting people up is good customer service so a wait is fine, but there are plenty of other equally good coffee shops with friendly staff that doesn’t take this long. A better balance between wait times and customer service needs to be struck because I’d prefer to go to Lucky’s or WYWH then iron & kin

A vibrant coffee shop at Claremont Packing House with excellent coffee, service and atmosphere! They have some great roasts with different regular and specialty drinks. As a latte connoisseur, I really enjoyed their latte and 100% recommend it! Just be patient if you go on a holiday or the weekend because there is a long line (and understandably so!!)

Greta products and overall stellar vibe. Good workspace if you can find a spot, free high speed wifi & other cute shops around to check out.
