I stayed here for roughly three weeks until my job forbid me from staying here due to the ample problems had with hotel staff and management. I was there for work and am a traveling healthcare professional. You would think they would have more consideration for their loyal guests staying weeks at a time. I was told whilst at work that my things would be removed from the room if I did not leave and make a payment after I already I submitted a card authorization form. After, they still charged the wrong card that was not on the authorization form. After this issue, the hotel charged me a “late fee” for check-out during my stay even though I was still staying in the same room for the duration of the three weeks. I was assured by management that I would not have a late fee, but once I entered my card to pay for the remainder of my stay, the late fee was taken without my authorization. When I noticed and mentioned it immediately, the manager got up from the desk and said “you deal with this” to another associate and walked off. Several guests in the lobby who noticed the situation noted that they had similar issues and that the management was less than acceptable. Not to mention that I was questioned about my disability when I told them I had a service dog. I had the necessary paperwork but was still questioned and doubted about my disability. Aside from this, the rooms are GORGEOUS in comparison to other extended stay America locations, but I assume it’s because this location also used to be a Best Western. HIGHLY disappointed in the hotel staff and the trouble I was given, making it hard to enjoy my stay.

I would not recommend booking this hotel if you are using a non-traditional payment for "incidentals" in conjunction with a third-party booking (Expedia, Agoda, etc). They will ONLY ACCEPT credit cards issued by nationwide banks for what they call "incidentals" aka a deposit. This hotel is a franchise that makes up rules on the fly and then fails to share the new rules with anyone outside of their 4 walls. Conducting business in this fashion leaves far too many people stranded in the lobby with no way to check into their room and no way to get a refund from their 3rd party reservation provider as most 3rd party reservations are non-refundable.
So.....
since this hotel REFUSES to give you any type of WRITTEN documentation stating that they are cancelling your reservation due to your unacceptable type of credit cards
,....and.....
since FATE precedes everything in life.....
WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION from the hotel confirming that your reservation has been cancelled is the ONLY THING ACCEPTABLE by the 3rd party booking company in order to initiate a refund on your non-refundable booking.
So, unless you're totally into being screwed without a kiss..... I would highly recommend not booking this hotel with anyone other than this hotel directly... and yes you're gonna pay substantially higher room rates in doing so.....and yes it's all by strategic manipulation to be exactly what it is......the rules implemented by this hotel have all been carefully manifested to accomplish one goal irregardless of who gets inconvenienced in the process. These rules increase their overall bottom line through direct website sales resulting in additional ad revenue from website clicks and higher profits margins from selling their rooms directly at full price rather than through the wholesaler site that liquidates the unbooked rooms at a discounted rate.
I urge you to exercise caution when booking a room here. Don't play their game.

Location is about as good as you can get to the pir parking if you are coming for an event. Rooms are decent. The lady that originally checked us in was rude. The breakfast is a joke. Don't count on it.

The workers i directly interacted with were nice and the room was clean (if a bit well worn) but that's where the positives abruptly end. This is a warning to anyone who sees the 4 stars and some nice pictures and thinks this place looks fine. It really isn't.

First, the rooms have zero privacy. I could hear neighbors on both sides and above me. They weren't even being loud, just normal conversation, walking, and TV noise, but I could hear it all. The worst was the lobby noise. I could hear the door opening every time. I could hear the phone ring every time. Every time someone would argue with the staff I could hear that too (and that was VERY frequent). I could hear the terrible lobby sound system and initially I thought it was someone with a Bluetooth speaker, it was that obnoxious and tinny. I could hear people's dogs barking at all hours and children running up and down the hallway. Since this place is near i5 just south of Vancouver, you will hear a ton of obnoxiously loud cars that think of that highway as their personal drag strip.

Speaking of the location... Portland is a cute place with lots of nice neighborhoods, but this is tucked into a disgusting industrial area littered with broken down cars and RVs. I wouldn't want to walk around here, let alone park my car or stay nearby.

There was security on site, but they were dicks. I witnessed the smug rent-a-cop chastise a dude for speaking to him in a way he found threatening and saying he could ban him off the property. It wasn't a threat by any stretch, it was a mild complaint about what a dick the security guard was being. I'm so sorry you're too dumb to even be a cop, but that's not everyone else's fault.

The breakfast that was touted as part of my reservation was non-existent, and when I entered the dining room to see at least the coffee was still there, some guy in a beanie, a dirty t shirt, and sweatpants whisked the coffee pot away like he was stealing it. He apparently worked there as I saw him behind the counter and he had a company lanyard. Bro, I don't care if you dress like a slob on your own time, but if you could at least dress in a way that distinguishes you from some of the sketchy-er people staying here, that would be helpful.

If you are desperate and this is the only thing you can afford then, yes, it is a clean room with hot water, but if you expect anything beyond that, like a tiny modicum of peace or privacy, definitely look elsewhere.

Oh also the Wi-Fi was pathetic and if you pay to upgrade it, it's barely better.

So glad I only had to stay one night because I barely slept due to being constantly irritated by the noise. By a large margin, this was worst hotel stay in my entire life.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
I'm sick so I was napping, thinking check out was probably at 12. At 11:30, housekeeping knocked and I said I'll be out in 30 minutes. She said OK. A couple minutes later a different person knocked and I said the same thing. Then a man came and I said the same thing. Then security came, BANGING on my door. An armed guard waited outside my door, with back up and a 3rd guy.
No manager was on site. When I asked who's in charge, they said noone.
I've been around the world and I've never been treated so poorly.

Came here for a delivery, parked my car up front and turned on my hazards, in front of me was a silver Cadillac parked in the fire lane in a NO PARKING ZONE, comes and elderly lady with blonde hair, asking me if I'm a delivery driver, I replied yes, I am, do you work here? She retorted, Why? , I said, well it's because you asked me so now I'm asking you. She says," I'm the manager!" .... I said great, as I preceded to walk inside she tells me, you're cars going to get towed, you're parked in a "NO PARKING ZONE", ....interesting how she's in the firelane, "NO PARKING ZONE" telling me my cars going to get towed.

I recently stayed at this inn, and unfortunately, I was not very satisfied with my experience. The breakfast was extremely minimal—just a few items without even a plate or milk, which felt very disappointing and not up to standard.

The area around the inn didn’t feel comfortable, with many homeless people nearby, although the inn itself is fenced and secure. While the room was clean and had basics like shampoo, a plate, knife, and fork, it felt like the bare minimum. Despite having a good and clean room, good TV, and more, the overall experience wasn’t what I expected.

Great experience with staff & a memorable stay! The hotel manager (maybe Bill, can't remember his name) was amazing & did everything he could to help us during our visit! The staff at the front desk were also kind and helpful! The rooms were clean as well as the rest of the hotel.
•Around the corner near the highway and the chevron there is a lot of homelessness, although they just mind their own business and don't cause any issues. The hotel is out of the way enough that there's no problems and you feel safe. Parking was free and safe with enough parking spots. The breakfast options weren't the best. They did not have a "warm breakfast" it was smaller options like yogurts, muffins, fruit, granola bars, etc. The hotel is very close to the downtown area and main city of Portland and down the road there are options for cute local coffee shops. The small breakfast and coffee was plenty to fill us up for the fun days we had in Portland.
•I'd recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to Portland!
