I’ve stayed at this Iditarod Trailside Lodge several times. They had improved the place each time I was there. I really liked the remoteness and the views and the quiet. You can see Denali on a clear day. The Saunders are wonderful hosts and made us feel more than welcome. Got to experience the ice break up on the river. During Spring Break, 2018, we had a blast snow machining up the Yetna River on our way to Iditarod Trailside Lodging. The ride had breath taking views. While visiting with the Saunders, we watched snow machines going up and down the frozen river, saw stunning views of mountains, the river, and miles of wilderness. Many stories were shared, delicious food was eaten, and everyone had a great time. We are looking forward to our next visit to see the Northern Lights and the Iditarod Dog Teams.

Four of us fatbiked in from Deshka Landing, probably the most challenging way to arrive... The conditions were slow (due to a recent snow) and we got in later than expected. We were welcomed with a wonderful filling meal, great hospitality and a warm private cabin. We wanted an early breakfast and it was ready for us with more food than four hungry guys could eat. I can’t wait to go back! We were well rested and the ride back was 2.5 hours quicker! I only wish we had more time to spend at the lodge. All the conveniences from home in a remote location! A real Alaskan experience!

Craig and Debbi are wonderful hosts. Great views of the Northern lights, Denali and the Yentna River. The Iditarod sled dog and Iron dog snow machine races go right by the place. You can fly in from Willow or take a boat or snow machine depending on the season.

Beautiful place with great views. Trails everywhere to go walking. Very short walk to a crystal clear swimming or canoeing pond. Craig and Debra are very warm and welcoming and always have great stories to tell. Love this place

When I stayed here the owners were very friendly and pleasant. They strived to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The area has a beautiful view of the river as well, so I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
