The rooms were stunning. The walk-in shower with three heads was amazing. Full kitchen, GINORMOUS balcony overlooking the golf course = 5 stars. The farmer's market on Tuesday was awesome. The winery and auto museum next door is also great. However, getting a text on the last night asking guests to clean the room was a little odd. If I'm paying for the resort (including a $35.00 a night resort fee), I'm paying to have those things taken care of for me. Yes, we complained because the pool near us didn't work either. We were told that the website clearly indicated that the pool was being renovated - but that means nothing when we didn't know where we were staying until we checked in! How were we supposed to know we would be housed near a non-functioning amenity? The restaurant on site was decent but was stuck somewhere between golf course clubhouse and neighborhood bistro. Prices were a little high for the quality of food. Warning, the road in from the freeway is a 55, and locals treat it like the autobahn in summer. Not an awful experience by any stretch of the imagination, but they definitely have room for improvement.

Our Villa was lovely. We had a 2 BR 2 Bath Unit with a full kitchen. A generous balcony that overlooks the mountains. It was quiet, but yet only 30 minutes from San Diego Zoo Safari. There is a lovely golf course, multiple pools, a restaurant, and gorgeous landscaping. Our villa had granite counter tops in the kitchen and both baths. This place is well cared for. The master suite was lovely with Slipper tub and walk-in shower. We will be returning. We traded our home resort for this, and I'm so glad that we did. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessities for cooking, including glassware, silverware, and Fiestaware. I highly recommend The Welk!

This is our third visit and each time gets better. The staff are super helpful. The facilities and grounds are immaculate. There are swimming pools and water features to keep everyone happy from adults to families and plenty of gym/ workout areas scattered throughout the resort. Each night has sponsored activities in the “downtown” area. The resort is a 35-40 minute drive from San Diego airport. Beach cities are a convenient 35 minute drive away as well.

This was my first time at this location. This place is very big. Grounds are beautiful. You're nestled in the middle of mountains. There was a beautiful moon our first night. Rooms are very spacious. However, they really need to be updated. Painted toilet handles with chipping paint not to pretty. Older room decorations such as older lamps and tables. The bathrooms with a tub are AMAZING!! The tubs are very new and stylish and sucken for deep water bathing. Rooms come with all kitchen necessities. The best bet is to grocery shop. There were no washcloths in our room on the 1st and second night. We called the third night, and it took 2 hours to get wash towels😒. By the time the porter came, we had used hand towels to shower with. I still am coming back.

We generally had a good experience at the resort, the property is in decent condition, the employees do a pretty good job of making their rounds and picking up bags of trash and things like that. Golfing seems to be the major draw for this resort, they have nice pools, but we didn’t get to use them this time.

Three stars given for the maid. Check out is at 10 AM however at 9:30 am she was banging on the door, and then she proceeded to put all her cleaning equipment right outside our door, I totally get it guys she has a job to do but if I read it correctly, check out is at 10, not at 9:30, not at 9:40, so you may want to retrain your employees that clean the rooms, it’s a matter of waiting an additional 10 minutes, as someone that checked out on time, I should not be seeing the Cleaner and all their equipment and cleaning supplies just strewn about, if I was late leaving, I could see why she would bang on the door, but Not 20-30 minutes before checkout time. Three stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for your trouble.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. They are remodeling the resort. Lots to do and the golf courses are great. The Oaks course is very busy with multiple groups of users. The farmers market was fun. The adult pool and gym were great. They will give you a ride around the resort if you need, just text them. The kitchen worked well. My wife said the sheets were a little scratchy.

Beautiful resort with a fanatic gold course, clean suites, lots of family fun activities!||But be warned! The activities start at $18. The only places to eat are canyon grill (not open Monday or Tuesday) and Pizza Hut express. Canyon grill smells like water damage and because you’re in the middle of nowhere Pizza Hut express serves up mall food court quality at luxury resort prices. It’s in the middle of nowhere! There are not any transit options, Uber to Escondido ranges from 25-40 a trip, to SanDiego 80-250 a trip. Lastly the internet and cell reception sucks!! Don’t be thinking you might be able to check your email or rent a car while you’re here cause the internet speed is 2mbps but don’t worry the front desk made me call IT and open a ticket! Should be resolved never!!||If you’re coming here to hangout with kids or old people or golf, this is perfect! If you’re young fun and want things to do don’t think you’ll save a few $$ staying here, book downtown San Diego instead.

Scam!! This resort is a timeshare and you are encouraged to go to a presentation. Not an issue for me as I am a 25 year owner with Wyndham and have attended countless presentations over the years. As a Hyatt Globalist, I thought I was safe attending a presentation here. NOPE! After almost a month of contacting the resort and Hyatt, they refuse to provide they agreed upon amenity after a presentation. I attend a 3 HOUR presentation and was told by the resort that my bonus has been administered. Again NOPE. I have spent hours trying to resolve this both at the resort and with Hyatt directly and no one will response or assist. It’s always someone else’s issue. I understand how timeshares and presentations work and have never been treated this poorly. I advise if you go to this resort, DO NOT attend a presentation, much less buy in. Otherwise the resort was ok. I couldn’t use my tv the entire time as I didn’t have a remote despite asking for one repeatedly. At least, my stay me showed me my Wyndham timeshare properties are better.
