My friend wanted to come here to grab coffee. I never came here before and the previous time he always wanted to come here I always decline because I know there not a lot of parking spots. But today I took a chance and I was lucky to get a spot in the small plaza it's in. When we walked inside, they weren't as busy so we were able to order and get a table. My friend got his lavender drink, my wife wanted their green pomegranate and I went with their hot chocolate since I didn't like any other options. It didn't take long for our drinks to come out. My wife pomegranate she said needed more sweetener so I told her to go ask someone to see if they had any. They were able to add a little more sweetener which helped a lot. My friend enjoyed his lavender drink and I thought my hot chocolate was too watered down. The service we received here was amazing and they give me some water when I asked. The place isn't that big but it works for them and we saw many people come here just for their coffee.

House Roots Coffee is my new favorite cafe in the valley!! i live in san fernando valley and this cafe has the best vibes, music taste, cutest decor, originality, hospitality, and actual good creamy espresso! their matcha is also so good because it’s not just sweetened green tea it’s actual ceremonial grade matcha!! 
there’s never really a wait time! each time i’ve been here it usually only takes 5mins or less 🙂 
they play very chill indie/alternative music and sometimes some soft k-indie music
the music vibe of a cafe usually determines the atmosphere for me
i go here with my laptop to get “adulting” stuff done like pay bills or apply to jobs/gigs etc. and ive noticed all the people who work or are customers are chill and kind hearted
as there’s been LA fires “house roots coffee” was one of the first companies i saw that were supporting all the first responders by telling firefighters they are welcome to their cafe without a fee and sharing information on where you can donate or volunteer to help! love that!
also they use dishes and silverware when you dine inside which i support so much since this helps minimize the amount of plastics and trash being used
honestly i’d love to work here if they ever were looking for a barista, cashier, or even a content creator i just love being there the energy is recharging

We’ve been frequenting House Roots Coffee since their cart popup days at a Newhall restaurant. Since then, they’ve grown into hands down the best coffee in the SFV - a roaster & cafe in Granada Hills that embodies what a neighborhood coffee shop can and should be. The ambiance inviting, vibe is friendly, staff is top notch. Their coffee roasted well, and drinks are crafted with creativity & excellence. The selection of pastries is always great - tastes as good as it looks. House Roots offers a high quality craft coffee experience in an area dominated by bad chain coffee. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a great local coffee house.

This is a cute place to get some coffee. I wouldn’t recommend for studying as the seating is limited and not very comfortable. My bf and I would always come here, especially for the butterscotch latte. There was an incident where he asked for a cappuccino, went the bathroom and the employees started talking badly about him for asking for something they don’t have. He later talked to the owner about this and he apologized but regardless I haven’t want to come back as often as I did before. On top of this, the coffee is good but I do not recommend their matcha at all. It tastes like sweetened milk and isn’t even green

Autumn spice latte (hot) with a Lemon pastry. The latte was good but it was way too sweet for me, should have gotten half the sweetener. The lemon pastry was pretty amazing, never had anything like it, it was like eating lemon flavored rice pudding? kind of just melted on your tongue. I also tried their lavender latte and it was very tasty! It's a cute little place in a plaza with some parking in the plaza. Sraff was friendly, nut the energy was off & unfortunately the prices a bit too high for the portions, I think.

Super cute, and very good coffee. Lots of flavors and specialty drinks and a huge selection of tasty pastries. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Seating is plentiful, but hard, backless stools seem geared towards keeping visits relatively short. Still nice for a snack and a chat.

I wanted cinnamon powder on my latte and they where just straight up saying no, i offered to even pay for a side of cinnamon and again.. they said they didn’t offer it. Other than that the coffee was nice
