Excellent location. However, staff during check in was not friendly and my daughter even smiled at them receiving a dirty look in turn.
The room (for my stay anyway) was clean and beautifully done. For the price I paid there was only the view of a wall to the next building, so I got what I paid for.
There was a mini fridge, coffee maker, a hair dryer but no microwave and no phone- I thought it was weird. The bed in my room was very hard, so if you like a hard bed this is the place for you (I had difficulty sleeping and my back hurt in the morning- just in time for my flight. Yay! ). There is no pool, just an area to gather in with tables and chairs.
As previous reviews the location is close to the beach, restaurants within walking distance & Starbucks right across the street. The pics on the site do not match the actual hotel color (it is a vibrant blue that stands out).
The parking is underneath which is nice but if you didn’t read the reviews you wouldn’t know- there is no posting (other than a very small sign with light colored print) that is not easily seen from the road. There is a large sign with bold print letting people know that parking there without permission will be towed, so it is confusing. I took a chance and asked when I checked in to confirm if I needed to move my car.

Stayed here for 4 nights. It’s in a good location. There’s a Starbucks across the street, an El Pollo Loco next door, and is not too far from Downtown Manhattan Beach.
As per previous reviewers, the bed mattress is not the comfiest. Had to keep tossing and turning because my side would get sore if I layed on the same side for a while.
They also forgot to put towels in our room on the 2nd day, we didn’t get back that day until the evening. When I explained the situation to the front desk person and asked for towels, the front desk person at first stated they would not be able to provide towels and I’d have to wait until the morning, which I reiterated again that we need towels and weren’t provided any by housekeeping. He
then went to the housekeeping storage closet and was able to find some extra towels. I’m glad he found towels for us, but I feel that telling a guest that they have to wait for towels until the next day is not acceptable, especially if it is the housekeeping’s fault in not providing any. But other than those issues, this hotel was the best value in the area, and is in a pretty decent and affluent area. The parking garage is beneath the hotel, and can get filled up pretty easily, more friendlier to
Compact car parking.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences ever. After checking in we found a room with stained towels, a mattress that was hard and lumpy with stained sheets. We were refused extra towels until morning. The room was dark, dingy and sparsely appointed with not even a hook for your towel. The toilet was broken, would not flush so it ran all night. We would have left but it was after midnight.

Location is the only thing good about this place.

The rooms was duty the vents where clogged with dust and dirt.
The worst part are the walls are paper thin. So you hear everything. I got the joy of hearing a microwave, ice machine all hours of the time and people outside my room smoking and drinking.

If you're booking to be by the ocean, it's a 1.3 mile walk and you have to pay for parking which is very limited if you drive, especially on weekends. As far as the actual hotel, the main problems are going to be guest parking, given there were no spaces available on a Tuesday night so I can't imagine during weekends it's worse and electrical outlets if you use a lot of laptop, tablet, cell phone, etc. simultaneously and near the bed are hard to find or don't work. I've stayed in 2 rooms and both were terrible for electric outlets. The AC/Heater needs servicing but otherwise it's minor issues like sink not draining or water saver showerhead in one of the two rooms and no soaps (bring yours) in one of the 2 rooms, so If you're staying for more than 1 night I'd recommend looking elsewhere

This place is deceptive. I booked to stay with them with Priceline. My original reservation was from Dec 25-30th. I ended up needing to leave a day early and contacted Priceline who then told me to contact the hotel. Since I paid in advanced the hotel was able to adjust my reservation and send me a new itinerary. I would have saved about $100. When I stayed the other guests were loud and lots of slamming doors all hours of the night. I figured people just had issues. The rooms felt like cheap apartments but anyways I got a great deal. Fast forward to the 29th the hotel staff asked me to check out. I asked them if I could just stay till the 30th because I paid in advanced and I haven’t received any refund yet. They said no because they changed it and if I stayed they would charge me $130. I ended up checking out to avoid any extra fees. After my trip ended I contacted both Priceline and the hotel to process my refund. Priceline is saying they need to get approval from the hotel I checked out early. The hotel is claiming I used the room. I did check out to honor the change for the 29th. I now have to open a dispute with my credit card and I sent supporting documents. Please be careful when doing business with this shady place.

I checked in for two nights around 5 in the evening. The room was better than I thought and seemed clean. I had some dinner and went to bed. At about 2:15 am someone was knocking on my door and when I didn’t answer they opened the window and when I confronted him he said he thought it was his girls room. I immediately called the front desk. The woman who worked the desk didn’t seem concerned. The man came back and asked who was in my room and wanted to charge his phone. I called the front desk and asked her to come to my room and escort me to my car so I could leave. She seemed shocked that I’d want to leave. In the parking garage we encountered the man and she asked me if I knew him and I do not. He confronted me about having an escort and doing too much. I got into my car and left. I am currently trying to get a refund it doesn’t seem possible. I would not recommend this property it is not safe. If I could give no stars I would.
