Great location/walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. The hotel has a small town personal feel to it, so it never felt over crowded. We loved that our windows could open in our one bedroom suite, as we prefer cooler temps to sleep. Room was clean and spacious. Our fridge leaked water from the top and the toilet paper was oddly out of reach from the toilet/in front across from the seat…however, those are easy fixes. We also chose/prefer Hotel DeLuxe because of the close parking garage that allows in & out parking without a valet. Staff were excellent and friendly upon check in and checkout. And, a special shout out to “Cat” for being so accommodating regarding our check out request! Would definitely stay here again, as the value/cost is great for the stay!

We have stayed at this old hotel twice in the last two months. The location is convenient, quiet, right by the TriMet train. There is covered parking ($40) with EV charging. The first stay there was no heat in the room other than a small space heater that was totally inadequate. St checkout I complained about the lack of heat. The desk clerk apologized and comped the parking fee. Later I received a "How was your stay?" Review request. I replied, Not good. No heat. The General Manager replied, apologized and comped the room. Nice. Figuring the heat issue was a fluke I booked a room a night a month in the future (last night). Got to the big suite room and it is cold. The thermostat is turned off. Turned it on, unpacked and noticed that the thermostat one-off button is blinking. Turned it off and back on again. Steady green. Good. A few minutes later it's blinking again and no heat. Same issue as a month earlier, different room on a different floor. Apparently that is why a space heater is provided. Weird. We could have complained last night but it was a late check-in and didn't want the hassle. Lesson learned. We won't be back.|

What a wonderful experience! Our corner room on the 8th floor had gorgeous views of downtown, Mt St Helen’s and Mt Adam’s. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable as we celebrated a landmark birthday. The Driftwood Room Lounge has been a favorite for decades, and it was great to see that they are preserving the atmosphere there, while still experimenting with the menu. We shared the Absinthe Fountain as a nightcap, and it made for a special experience.

Nicely appointed room, with no waste space, very clean. I did find the sheets a little stiff for my taste, and there was a humming that I thought was the mini fridge.
I would have given five stars, but guest services greeting was weak, and parking should be included, as the hotel has a parking lot directly across the street that was vacant all night.
Still one of the best downtown Portland hotels in have stayed in.

Had such a great experience at this hotel. They really go above and beyond to make sure the guests are taken care of. Beautiful atmosphere, love the vintage vibe, the room was adorable. Cat at the front desk was so sweet and thoughtful. We had a great time.

Hotel DeLuxe is very charming with a unique atmosphere. DeLuxe was recommended to me by a friend who is local to the area, and said it is probably one of the best hotels to stay at when coming to town to watch the Timbers. They were completely correct! Providence Park is extremely walkable from DeLuxe, not to mention the numerous great restaurants nearby; Cat gave us some great recommendations for our last day! The staff are all attentive and friendly, the room was great, and the location is the best. Definitely a stay for future Timbers matches! Thank you Hotel DeLuxe!

We loved the atmosphere of the hotel. Super friendly staff and great service. We really enjoyed getting drinks in the Driftwood Room. Our only complaint is the bed in the Marlene Dietrich Suite was very worn out and not comfortable. It was sunk in in the middle. We would definitely stay here again, however we would select a different room.
