Very highly recommend! We just had a wonderful stay at Horsefeathers. The property is beautifully restored, stylishly decorated, and filled with lots of thoughtful touches to make it a comfortable stay. Immaculate, too. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry had everything we needed. We were in unit 301 on the top floor, which has two great outdoor spaces and an amazing view of the town and river. (Because it’s built into a hill and parking is on the same level as the top floor, there was no stair-climbing required to get to the unit with your luggage.) Great location, a block from the heart of downtown. Communication with the owner was great, instructions were very clear and helpful. I have nothing but positive things to say.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in downtown. I've stayed there several times for work in the different rooms and furnishings are super and suites are easy to access. Each suite has been warm and inviting and fully stocked with kitchenware. Great location being one block away from restaurants and shopping on Oak Street. Owners are very accommodating for my needs. The available WiFi is 1G and very reliable which is critical for me to use for work. Adjacent community park and historic stairway connecting the community are unique features and add to the ambience of the location.

Incredible location, walking distance to downtown and so many breweries / wineries. Very comfortable bed, heated bathroom floor was a huge perk, and we rented the unit with the balcony (the Lookout) and loved the fire pit and gorgeous views of the Gorge. Chris and Laura were very helpful and responsive. The place is extremely clean and is exactly as it looks in the photos online. Would highly recommend staying!!

We did an intimate destination wedding to Hood River and booked Horsefeathers Hotel for our stay. Honestly, it worked out better than we expected! The location is PRIME.... literally can walk to more breweries and wineries than we can count, very close to the riverfront, one street up from the downtown and the fact that we are higher up on the hill makes for beautiful views. We had a few family members that rented houses in different locations throughout Hood River and we were never more than a 5-6 minute drive away. We booked the Lookout condo and it was perfect - we used the fire pit pretty much every morning and night.
The bed was very comfortable, the inside fireplace made it feel cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a grill on the side of the unit. And we loveddddd the heated bathroom floors!!
Chris and his wife were amazing hosts and there is a great chance that we will be back one day. We are also highly promoting the town of Hood River itself to our friends and families and would absolutely recommend Horsefeathers for a place to stay!

Horsefeathers is the best combination of detail, quality and comfort in the best location if you enjoy walking downtown and enjoying Hood River. Chris, the manager, was informative and easy to work with over the phone and upon arrival. He even made sure we knew when our room was ready early. If you're looking for a 'feels like home stay' in Hood River, Horsefeathers is your place.

My wife and I spent our 34th wedding anniversary at Horsefeathers and we could not be more pleased with our choice. Everything was as advertised. A clean comfortable room with all the amenities you could want. The coffee was tasty and the kitchen was well equipped. The travertine shower was sexy and the bathroom was very tidy. It is conveniently located in the heart of Hood River making it a breeze to shop and eat. The mini split heating system worked well but we did have a malfunction with the natural gas stove. Chris was very helpful trying to remedy this but was unable to get it fixed during our stay so he rewarded us with a little something for the minor inconvenience.

Prepare to get a great workout with the Second Street Stairs right outside of your room. Wether you're hauling luggage or wanting to elevate that heart rate on purpose climbing to the top, you're sure to get the blood pumping. It really is a great attribute.

I will add that we are dog people but didn't bring our dog on this trip. Considering the occupants above us, I would say It's probably not a good idea to bring your dog(s) to leave out on the deck if they like to bark at every passerby, squirrel, leaf rustling or bird in the sky. I appreciate they allow dogs but the dog owners should take extra care to keep their dogs well mannered in this somewhat busy environment.

Beautifully finished smart apartment style hotel. Currently more AirBnB feel than hotel it was nonetheless a relaxing stay. The recent renovation is high end, and furnishings smart and comfortable. We stayed in 202. ||Host was friendly and helpful, easily contactable on the one occasion we needed to do so. ||Centrally located in Hood River - walkable to the main area of Oak St, and if you want to stretch your legs rather than drive, you can also get down the the waterfront area. Recommend Pfeirm Brewery for eats but avoid Celilo Restaurant.

Our stay was amazing! Top notch interior! Great location! Can’t wait to go again! Woke up to the best view as well. Highly recommend staying here. Host has amazing customer service and is there right when needed. Exited to come stay during the summer!
