We walked the Tramontane and Salt Lick trails. Took about 3 hours total because of us steady stopping to enjoy the views. Wish we had more time in our trip to try other trails. Amazing place. Highly recommend.

What a great place to camp. So peaceful. We were right by the water. Easy in and out. Wi-fi if you need it. Electric and very clean bath houses. All you need for a quiet and relaxing time in the woods. We weren't able to go on trails because I am in a walking boot, but there were so many to choose from.
Cool little places to fish and oh the trees, they are beautiful. A great place to be with family. We missed the restaurant in the park because when we were there it was only open on Saturday and Sunday only.
Heard the food is awesome

Has quickly become one of our favorite getaways. Nice and quiet. So much shade, we never needed the ac. Great place for kids to play, ride bikes, or play in the creek all day.
Nice clean facilities.
Fishing may be tuff in the park, but there are many opportunities up and down the road, with less pressure.

My favorite camping experience ever. The trails have so much to offer if you're into foraging mushrooms and berries. The trails also offer beautiful scenery and amazing water features. This is not a place to bring a river kayak but it is a place to bring your water shoes/sandals/hiking boots/backpack. There is an accessible trail. There are two fields for baseball/softball/kickball, archery, covered picnic areas, a pool, bath houses, tennis, volleyball, basketball, a restaurant, and camping spots with accommodations for horses. Everyone was genuinely WV friendly. We have a 30 foot travel trailer and had to move spots from Area 1 due to limited space down to Area 4 (which is heavenly.) There is a short walk to the bath house from Area 4 but the privacy and large camping spots are worth it. We did a variety of trails and each had features we loved.

I picked Holly River on a whim and glad I did. Fantastic place. I stayed at the campground along a beautiful stream. Nice, well spaced camp spots, clean shower house/restrooms. Took a great hike on the Reverie trail, well marked which was appreciated as leaves covered most of the trail. A+ restaurant to top off the afternoon. Great menu and service. Extremely friendly staff and local folks in general.

One of the most beautiful places in WV! We love camping here. Many trails for hiking, beautiful scenery, waterfalls, lush and bright green forests filled with ferns and huge trees, swimming pool, picnic areas, pavilions, and more! There's a few trails that take a pretty long time to hike, so be sure to bring along some snacks and drinks to keep your energy up. Also, the temperature is sometimes a little cooler here (or it cools down a little earlier in the evening) due to the dense forest so make sure to pack some warmer clothes and even a poncho for your hike, just in case. I hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!
