I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. Just before my arrival they changed their pet policy to accept both cats and dogs. The hotel is recently renovated and lovely. Rates are competitive with other pet-accepting properties nearby, but the facilities are new and are spotless. Pet owners - let's keep it that way! Daily scoops can be deposited outside in trash canisters.||I secured a suite overlooking the Winchester airport runway and view of the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains. I enjoyed sunrise and sunset over the mountains each day. The windows are huge with great screens to modify Virginia sunlight! The suite was spacious, had a microwave, refrigerator and keurig. The bath was spotless and also very large.||I utilized the fitness facilities which were adequate (two of everything). They have a guest laundry on 2nd floor ($1.50 ea) and some rates include breakfast.||The hotel is very quiet and I was able to get a lot of work done. Highly recommend to travelers and tourists visiting the Blue Ridge.||PS - there is a comment about the carpeting. The carpet weave is a beige and blue-gray weave. Once again, spotless. See for yourself!

We had to book a room at the last minute due to a family member having a medical emergency. The hotel is clean and in a convenient location. But most of all, I truly appreciate how especially the waitress we had went above and beyond making my husband and I and our two year old son feel extremely cared about and welcomed.

Hotel provided a very clean and beautiful room. It was quiet and comfortable, with a solid night's sleep. This has been an above-average stay, and one of the nicer hotels in the area. It was very reasonably priced. I had no concerns for safety or the security of the adequate parking lot. Delighted to note that there was no lingering reek of marijuana out front, in the lobby or hallways: this is not true of so many properties any longer. Well done!

I visited for a 3 night stay, quick trip. Experience was overall pleasant. Friendly staff, quiet and peaceful stay! Not one complaint other than the AC/Heat unit being loud, which happens. The breakfast was really good and waitstaff very friendly!

We had the best little time! Just stopped for a night on a road trip with our pup, y’all we slept so well the room was so clean, bed was great, staff was incredibly nice, other guests were so friendly, and we saw the cutest pups! One of the stays that make you want/remember to leave a review!

We made reservations at the Holiday Inn Winchester SE-Historic Gateway because we had such a wonderful experience at this hotel previously. As soon as we entered the hotel lobby we were greeted by one of the most professional-friendliest employees that we've encountered in several years. This particular employee who was at the front desk (Tina) made us feel like we were the most valued guests in the entire hotel. She even thanked me for being a IHG Reward Club member. Our hotel room was immaculate! The floors were debris free. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and everything function well. We were both tired when we arrived after visiting various historic sites in both West Virginia and Virginia. Our hotel floor was very quite and we slept well. The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. Our waitress "Brandy" was great! The breakfast selections were adequate for this hotel setting. The service, food and beverages were great. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. We're looking forward to staying here again.

This is the first time staying at this location. The room was spacious, clean & very comfortable. There was plenty of outlets & usb connections on the table as well as on each side of the bed. Only complaint is that the tub is very narrow, otherwise it was perfect

We want to thank Jacob, the young man present upon check-in, for his kindness and overall excellent demeanor! He was gracious, informative and represented Holiday Inn well! We can say the same about Marie who assisted us as we checked out! Bravo to these 2 employees!

One concern was the noise level of the heating unit in our room. We could barely hear the TV when it turned on.
