I had heard this hotel was nice, and I had a 5:20am flight. I live just a few miles up I-5 but my housesitter was arriving the evening before and there’s not room in my apartment for both of us, plus I didn’t want to disturb her with my early morning departure. It is certainly convenient to the airport, I can’t fault that. Noise isn’t really an issue, the soundproofing is good, despite my room being right on the end by the freeway. The room was well appointed. Because I was there for such a short time (5:30pm-4am) and I brought my own dinner, I didn’t eat in their restaurant at all and just went to bed early for my pre-sunrise wake-up. However, the bed and pillows were just so uncomfortable that I barely slept at all. The pillows were much too soft, my head just sank right through them, even piled up. And the mattress was too firm. In a pinch, this would be fine. But I personally won’t stay here again.

I don’t normally review hotels but I feel like I have to with this one! It was amazing- extremely clean, pool, hot tub, sauna, restaurant with the BEST breakfast - bonus, kids eat free. We loved this hotel! Top Notch!

What a lovely option to stay at this new hotel right at the Bellingham airport! Previously when we departed from (BLI) we would have to stay in town and arrange a shuttle from the hotel. Now you simply walk across the parking lot. The staff here are wonderful and the rooms comfortable. They have a Happy Hour in the restaurant and serve great food at dinner time. Note: Think about sharing a meal as the portions are huge!

Holiday Inn on Mitchell feels like home to us. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is generally excellent.

This trip, the furniture was a little worn; vinyl worn off the desk chair. Large chips in the tub. Things that would be easy to remedy.

The new breakfast buffet has some kinks that need to be worked out. You don't know what is where. Make it easier: Provide guests silverware and napkins at the table. You are offering them drinks anyway, why not make that easy? All they need to take to the table is food.

The food itself was good, hot and plentiful.

The pool, spa and gym were all very nice and clean.

Comfortable bed , clean room , great food . Very relaxed stay during a stressful time. The staff went out of their way to help us . We were able to get help with all of our requests quickly. We were traveling with a large commercial truck and had plenty of parking. Overall I can say we will be staying at Holiday Inns from now on.

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn at the Bellingham airport several times in the past few years. We have always found the front desk personnel alert, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms have been clean and the beds comfortable. The dining room service on our last stay was a little slow and the menu is limited. However, we don’t expect a five star hotel restaurant.

We stayed in the suite with an alcove for a trundle bed with my husband, MIL, and dog. The room and this hotel in general met all of our needs very well. There is a big grassy area where you can walk your dog next to the hotel, there is a casino nearby if you (or your MIL) want to gamble, there is decent food in the restaurant, and there is a nice pool and spa area. You might not expect a Holiday Inn by the airport to work well for you as a stopover on your way to Canada, but the room design is fresh and nice with good lighting, and although it's next to the airport, it is silent in the room. We loved it!

We have stayed at different hotels in the Bellingham Ferndale area and we feel that this is a five star hotel. At least we like all the conveniences. Our vehicle is in a safe area. They have all the amenities of a upper class hotel.
