I made this reservation and specified a particular room type and got it. When I arrived at the property my room was gone but I was given an upgrade, but to the wrong room type. Typically, when I specify a room type they upgrade to that room type, but in this case they gave me a different type of room. It did not suit what I was looking for and did not work for me. I was a late arrival, but that still should have held no bearing on the room I reserved. What made this my worst IHG stay ever was the attitude of the front desk employee. She tried blaming "the system" and my IHG "preferences" because effectively they had charged me and then gave away my room. I then requested a late checkout being a Diamond member and she refused to accomodate that request because she did not like that I was agitated. This property was 180 degrees different than virtually every other IHG property. The attitude and customer service were non-existant. I called the Diamond hotline and have requested a full refund because I did not receive the service I paid for. I do NOT recommend this property.

Great rooms. The beds were comfortable. The pool was great! There are no sound barriers, so the pool area was a bit loud. Jets in the hot tub were broken. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again. Great priced rooms.

When checking in I asked for a few more coffees for in the room as we leave early. The man at the counter said "There is coffee in the room" I said "Yes, only two we would like a few more. He said he did not have any and would have housekeeping bring some. (First time they did not have any at the front desk ever) Of course that never happened and I knew it would never happen by his attitude.

The drive home from California back to Las Vegas has a hidden gem, the Lenwood exit. This exit leads you to right to the Barstow Outlet shopping center, yummy places to eat, and a clean, quiet, friendly place to lay your weary head (if you're not in the mood to make the drive all in the same day) ... Holiday Inn Barstow. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the atmosphere is quiet and the lobby smells of waffles/pancakes in the morning. Great stop. Thank you.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fruit, muffins, cereal, etc….
Maid service was exceptional, I can tell by how clean the bathroom was. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. A great place to stay!!!

Positive: the location to family home, felt of comfort while in the room everything in working order too, Negative: some reason just as you enter the room the is a wet spot on the carpet floor, it wasnt coming from the bathroom area I checked it several times, but is was if something was spilled. noticed it while walking barefoot.

After a long drive, all I wanted was to get a room and be able to relax. I am impressed with the night receptionist who welcomes us with a smile inspite of an overwhelming amount of guests coming in. He was able to check us in quickly and was ready for any additional requests. The room was very clean, very comfortable bed and several pillows for our perusal.

I'm so disappointed! For many years this was our go to spot on road trips, but then they started going wild with pet fees. We travel with our two dogs, and the pet fee is now $150 for one night ($75 per pet). That's more than the cost of the room itself! I'm happy to pay a pet fee, but this is completely unreasonable.

Luckily there are plenty of other hotels nearby, and we found the Hampton Inn just a block away charges only $50 for two pets, and their rooms are both nicer and cheaper.
