We enjoyed a two-night stay. Check-in and check-out were seamless. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Everything was impeccably clean. The coffee machine was convenient and easy to use. The breakfast on the top floor was delightful, with outstanding service from the kind gentleman and his staff, and breathtaking views of Long Beach. The late check-out and shuttle service were also hassle-free, which made our stay wonderful.

My husband and I try to stay at Holiday Inn whenever possible because it is a good value and usually have nice rooms and friendly staff. This particular stay was not very good. First there was a very long wait when checking in, I understand there were issues being handled for other clients. There was one person at the desk and another waiting and it was a 35 minute wait to get to check in. I was not apologized to for my wait and I was not even thanked for being a club member. The gentleman checking everyone in was very short and not friendly at all. The room needed updating. There was frayed carpet pulling up from the edges, the paint in the bathroom was starting to peel. With that being said the room was very clean. The next morning we came down stairs to find breakfast and there was a gentleman standing on the cafe side of the lobby with a service dog, the cafe was not open and he was the only one there. He heard us come out of the elevator and asked quite loudly if someone could help him find the front desk. The worker behind the counter simply stated the front desk is over here. The gentleman then replied “I am blind, and I don’t know where over here is”. The man behind the desk just stood there and didn’t move and, my husband immediately went to the gentleman and guided him to the front desk. That is completely unacceptable! That was Saturday morning Feb 1, 2025 at approximately 8ish am. The hospitality at this location is substandard and does not meet up to our other Holiday Inn experiences.

Easy check in after booking online. I thought I was booking direct but afterwards I could see I actually booked through a booking engine. So breakfast was NOT included. It was actually expensive so it was my mistake. Room is on the darker side which some like but I prefer more light. Bed was decent. I liked the cleanliness of the bathroom. I would stay here again. I paid for breakfast and it was pretty good….best part was the service in the restaurant…friendly and great follow up the entire time. Food was fresh and tasted good. Restaurant is super clean and organized. Parking was good and had no problems finding a spot.

We stayed here for a night after our cruise and our flight the following day. The building is in great condition & has a beautiful outdoor pool area that I didn't get a chance to use. (The pool did feel cold tho but there was a water hose in it so they may have just added cold water) The beds & pillows were very comfortable, we all slept well. Located walking distance to some fast food chains and gas stations and 1 mile from the airport. We ate at the VUE restaurant on the top floor, the view was breathtaking - food was excellent with large portions. Our food arrived quickly as well & prices were very reasonable. I wish there were more charging ports bedside but there are various ports on the desk as well. The view I had in room 511 was of a wall so that was not great but we were just there to sleep. They offer a free shuttle that goes to the Long Beach airport every 1/2 hour & it was on time - great service!! I was not recognized as an IHG club member just "I see your paying with points" it didn't bother me but it may others. I will definitely stay here again if in the area.

We were going on a carnival cruise out of Long Beach. This location had long-term parking and a shuttle to the ship terminal. The hotel is old but the rooms are clean. We also got breakfast with our room. The breakfast was good and the waiter was excellent. They also had a roof top resturant and bar in the evening. We did not get to enjoy it, but it was convenient. The front desk was efficient and helpful. I need a cruise luggage tag printed out, and they did it for me. I really appreciated their help.

The staff here is their asset. Everyone was helpful both on the phone and in person. Kai was helpful with questions I had before we even arrived. I neglected to write down the night desk clerk's name when we arrived late Friday, but she too, was kind and helpful. The airport shuttle wasn't running, so we needed a cab, and she reimbursed the driver upon our arrival. Finally, the host up in the penthouse restaurant Saturday morning was a breath of fresh air! He was eager to serve and answer questions about the area. Very welcoming. 🙂

The room was older and a little musty, but clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and we slept well.

The hotel is so close to the Long Beach airport, convenient and comfortable. We'll recommend and we will stay here again.

I stayed here for two nights and had a good time. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Anytime I needed anything the staff helped me right away. The rooms are a little dated but the quality is still good. It's close to a lot of restaurants and not far the the highway as it is next to it. I will say, I was amazed that I did not hear the Highway from my room. That is a plus. I would stay here again.

I work for a big corporation and IHG is our preferred hotel. First time I’ve ever been charged for parking 15 dollars a day. Which is so not valid to do that, lot is not full a there is free parking everywhere near here. It’s not a busy area. Also I’m a gold elite member and the first time I was not offered free water. Every IHG always give me two bottles every day being a good member. The staff was nice enough to give me some water on arrival, but they act like it’s huge deal. They also do not clean your room on the weekends. Pretty disappointed. Breakfast biscuits were hard and stale. Room was nice with a kitchen at a good price. I will recommend to corporate that they look to prefer other hotels chains after this visit.
