If you book your hotels through Hotels.com do not stay here. Stopped on our way to NY with zero issues. The room was nice and check in was a breeze. We booked our room to stop on the way to and from NY over a month before our trip. Stopped on the way back and our name wasn't even in the system. We always use Hotels.com and have never had an issue with any hotel....EVER. We were instructed by the desk staff to cancel our reservation that was $98 including all fees. Then she said she could cut us a deal for the same room for around $130 plus fees. Cancelling the day of check in would have been an additional fee through hotels.com. 5 stars to Hotels.com for the free cancellation and $25 towards our stay at comfort inn & suites in Westchester that I highly recommend. A simple course in customer service would have greatly aided in the situation we faced after driving for 6 hours.

The room was quiet and the beds comfortable. There is plenty of storage space and the A/C system kept the temperature very well, without being too noisy. As a matter of fact, it was much quieter than most such individual room systems. However, the bathroom could be updated, as the toilet needed me holding the handle continuously in order to work properly and the tub was stained and the plug could not be moved to either open it more or close it. The breakfast was very basic, and the coffee a bit bitter.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Stephens City VA. Both the check in and check out staff were very pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet! We especially appreciated the refrigerator in this room as it had a freezer compartment and that was helpful for our travelling ice packs! Breakfast was perfect and satisfied our needs. Being directly off I-81 was especially helpful for us after driving for many hours. Thank you again Holiday Inn Express for making our travels more enjoyable!

Check in was painless they honored my igh status and membership. The room and bathroom were very clean, the beds comfortable pillows nice choice of firm and soft . The morning breakfast was very much a nice variety of choices. The breakfast area was clean and kept that way all the time that i was eating breakfast

The rooms were a bit dated and needed some repairs but they were exceptionally clean, not a speck of mold or dirt!

The evening desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. The morning desk clerk was preoccupied.

The breakfast was OK. I am disappointed that HIE has discontinued including plain oatmeal in their breakfast offerings. All the oatmeal had way too much sugar and I am allergic to eggs so my options were limited.

The location for travelers was great!

Upon arrival the elevator was broken . After getting settled into our room I go to take a shower and the faucet knob broke off went to front desk and showed them. They said they cannot fix it so they gave me another room. I moved everything to the room next door go to get in the shower again body wash shampoo and conditioner. Bottles was completely empty. Had to go back downstairs again to get them filled up not to mention again the elevator is broken. . After all that tried to get a good night sleep and the toilet started running all night. Had to get up. Turn the water off on the toilet. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Holiday Inn express..

Have stayed here before, but remember it being better. Wasn’t a terrible experience, but there are better options around. There were just a number of little issues that added up: mold on shower ceiling, door handle only worked if you pulled it up, elevator was broken, side door was never locked, only decaf coffee in room. Worst part was definitely the breakfast. Wasn’t supposed to end until 9:30, but arrived just before 9:00 and a number of items were out and never restocked. By about 9:10, the only things really left were bread and bagels, yogurt, cereal, and some fruit. All the hot items were gone, such as eggs, waffles, biscuits, bacon and sausage, etc. Will most likely not stay there again, but I may give it another try in the distant future since it had been fine in the past.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly hotel staff. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was very clean, the only note for improvement is finding a way to increase water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was delicious, and check out was just as pleasant of an experience. I'd definitely recommend!
