All we could ask for and an actually hot hot tub. That alone will bring us back. Staff were all great and helpful. We were greeted immediately by a friendly smiling face and helped with a room request. Breakfast selection was very good and no TV blasting out awful news - so thankful for that. Room was good and beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. 5 stars for the road warrior making a stop for the night.

After driving for 8 hours we were ready for a good rest. We fired up Google maps and searched for Holiday Inn along I-81. Several appeared, but it seemed that Winchester would be a good place to stop, so we did. We have never stayed here before, but have stayed in many HI across the US. Made a reservation over the interweb and was greeted upon arrival. Parking was plentiful, the lobby was clean, there were plenty of luggage carts. We unloaded, parked the car and went up to our room. Although we were close to the elevator, we were never bothered by the noise. Everything worked fine, except the TV. We got three channels; I expect this has something to do with the hotel renovation. Didn't bother me. We went back down, got a restaurant recommendation from the front desk manager and had a great meal. Came back, showered, and went to bed. Slept soundly, got up around 8 and off we went. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a good night's sleep. They also have an exercise room and pool, but we didn't use them.

Stay somewhere else!! Upon arrival we found out renovations started 2 days prior so NO pool or hot tub. Check in wasn't available until after 4pm but it's posted check in at 2pm which is one of the reasons we chose to stay here. Hair dryer caught fire and when I went to the desk I was told they are old and it happens.

Update: Yes, that's correct the GM did state they would have maintenance replace the hair dryer right away. I have also added the cover photo in the current listing I booked which shows both the wonderful hot tub and lovely pool. So be aware they are non functioning at this time.

This location was very convenient for our travel south. Winchester is a lovely town. Room was quiet and comfortable. We appreciate having a full, decent breakfast before hitting the road. I would recommend this location.

Very disappointed in this location. Rooms were not well cleaned. There was a clump of hair in the shower and in the sink that I had to remove. Grime and general filth in other areas of the room. The floor was peeling up in the shower.

Hotel is currently undergoing renovation and boy does it need it. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and I got in quickly.

Area was pretty noisy and I heard some of the other guests exercising together.

Coffee was really good!

The bed was horrible, you should not be able to feel every single spring underneath you. It would make a better trampoline than a bed. With all of the choices of pillows, you think one of them would be at least semi-firm, but no. There was never any hot water in the morning. And no matter how much paint you use, it will never cover up the mold on the ceilings and walls. The TVs are mostly useless, the guide does not work to see what's on, and you are not able to stream to the tv from your own device.

This is a great hotel to stay at. We enjoyed our stay and everything was great. People at the front desk were very helpful and was really nice to talk to. Breakfast was outstanding. When we are in the area again we will definitely be staying there.

Great customer service! Breakfast was great! (Many choices bacon, eggs, biscuit w/sausage gravy, cheese omelets, pancakes, Cinnabons, etc. Nice pool and hot tub! My kids really enjoyed their stay. Comfortable room for my family of 5 ( 2 queen bed suite) plenty of parking! You can walk to Arby’s, KFC, Popeyes or sheetz gas station. Only problem really was the steamy bathroom (dripping ceiling no ventilation) other than that and treadmill not working in gym my experience was great!
