The hotel overall is nice but is in process of much needed upgrades. The room was rather dated with an old ac unit that was noisy and was either full cold air or none. The pull out sofa bed had no blanket. The bed and pillows were pretty good. The bathroom was dated and the shower head had a crack that was squirting water on the ceiling. I believe when the upgrades are done the rooms will be nice. The grounds are nice and the complimentary breakfast was better than most. I would definitely stay here again especially down after the renovations are complete.

We have stayed at this location several times over the last 5 years and always appreciated the location, extra sink and large room size. This time we spent 2 nights in a newly remodeled south-facing 4th floor room with a balcony. The room was super clean, everything NEW, and beautifully appointed, and the sunsets from the balcony are gorgeous! The staff was very warm and accommodating. When the pool is finished with the deep clean, it too will be outstanding. Nice job on the remodel!

Went to Mesquite for the Hot Air Balloon Festival and this property has a heated pool which is cool. I called before heading up (within 24 hours) where they assured me it is heated to 81 degrees. Awesome, because my son has cold urticaria which makes him break out in hives in cold water.

Well. We got there. If the pool is heated it's to 60. There isn't a chance. Talked to the front desk this morning and they told me there is a known issue with the heater. Excellent. Information that would have been helpful 18 hours prior.

Hotel is nice, renovations are well underway, but that really bummed my kids out.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Mesquite was great. Check in was quick & effortless. The hotel showed a little wear & tear in the hallway and elevator but there was construction updates going on. This wasn't distracting during our stay. Our recently updated room was nice and the bathroom was roomy. The water was hot, good water pressure. The shower was nice with a full sliding glass door (places need to stop making half door showers!) Our room offered a fridge, microwave, and coffee bar. We also had a sofa which was nice, most hotels only offer one uncomfortable chair to sit on. Breakfast offerings were good but opened at 6:30. No need to hassle with check out, just drop your keys in the basket. Lovely property, highly recommended.

For the price and area this wasn’t bad. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

It was odd to have to so much square footage and so little furniture. No hassock for the couch and only one chair for the table.

The breakfast had fresh fruit, which we liked.

When we travel, we always look for a Holiday Inn Express. When we arrived in Mesquite, NV, we were excited to find our Holiday inn. It was in a great location with a view. It was close to everything we needed. Everyone on staff here helpfull and friendly. It clean and we got a room with a balcony and a view. We were very happy and didn’t want to leave.

As far as Holiday Inn Express' go, this one is just okay and I should note, it used to be better. My wife and I have been staying at this location for years but was a little disappointed during our most recent visit. I should note, they were going through a renovation during our stay and that didn't help anything and the newly renovated room we had was clean but kind of, eh. I think we both agreed what they had before was nicer. That said, over the years, we've come to noticed that there are more and more kids that stay at this hotel for sports and while I get it, it can make for a VERY NOISY night. If at all possible, I would highly recommend you request a top floor room or else you're going to be hearing the heavy plompping of feet all night long. Also, the walls are on the thin side and you'll hear them that way too. Another thing that was kind of frustrating on our last visit was that I found out that we would be arriving a day early and made sure to call and see if I could extend our stay by a day. At the time, I was told it wouldn't be an issue and all was good. On the day we arrived, we were placed in a room that wasn't what we originally paid for and that was a King Suite with a balcony. When I asked the desk clerk about this, I was originally told that they were overbooked and that I got what I reserved. When I protested this, she waived the $75 pet fee that we had for our dog and then later realized that we did in fact have a different room the following couple of nights. This was all good in that she figured it out but it did mean we had to check out and check back in the following day which was kind of a pain. Of course, this wouldn't have been as big of a deal had I known this was going to be the case ahead of time but it's kind of lame to find all this out the night of. Also, the following day, when I went to re-check in, I found that it would take a lot longer due to the fact that the kids who stayed in it the night before made a mess of it. Anyway, just sharing how things went for us so that you might have an idea of how things might go for you as well. Best of luck if you choose to stay here.

We appreciated the large newly remodeled 4th floor room with a beautiful view from the balcony. We had everything we needed. The pool was under "deep clean," but we have used it on a previous stay. It's a beautiful setting! The staff was very helpful and even asked us to be sure to report any issues with the room since it was so newly remodeled.
