Service was quick, easy, and staff friendly. The room wasn't that great. One towel had black, what I assume is mascara, stains on it. The wall by one bed had something brown smeared down it. The water pressure was low and lukewarm at best. However, the beds were clean and comfortable and room spacious. I specifically picked this hotel because I always trust that the Holiday Inn Express will be best. I could have picked a cheaper place closer to the main road and gotten the same as this particular one. Wouldn't recommend this one.

The only redeeming quality of this place was the breakfast which was decent. They did not give us the correct room, we made our reservations on 9/24 and when we arrived on or around 10/13 they acted surprised as if we made the reservation 5 minutes ago. Then they couldn't figure out the room situation. We had reserved 2 suites with a sofa in each. We ended up with 2 rooms that just had 2 queen beds instead. Our first room had no television and wasn't cleaned. We switched rooms and the reem we switched to at least had a television. We were there for a couple of days and our rooms were never serviced and we had to go to the front desk and wait for a half an hour for someone to get there because I just wanted towels. This place is horrible and my family will never stay there again. We go to Dothan every year and this was the first time we tried the Holiday Inn Express, never again. If you want a pleasant experience when you travel to Dothan then STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Update on 10/18- the Manager in the comment to this complaint clearly stated refund was issued and could take 3 business days. The refund was last week and still nothing reflecting in my bank.....once again empty promises

Charged for night I didn't stay. This has never happened at the 100s of Holiday inns I have stayed at. Manager was nearly impossible to get in touch with and when she did finally feel it was convenient for her she took the call and promised to refund for the error. No refund and back to impossible getting her on thr phone.
BEWARE of this trap here!!! Don't believe me just scroll through the rest of the reviews stating the same thing...I wish we would have...☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

We had to evacuate for one day from our St George Island vacation and checked in on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was very nice as well. There are lots of things to do in Dothan and the hotel is easy to access. Thank you for taking us in. ?

I'm leaving only the three stars because I stayed here on more than one occasion. The second time I stayed for over a month, while the front desk and all of the housekeepers were really friendly I still had some issues. A pair of shorts of mine came up missing and I have no proof that a maid went in my room and stole them but things just don't disappear into thin Air so there's that!! Also my husband's co-worker had to change rooms because there were fleas and bugs in his room, we were in room 228 and he was just down the hall from us I don't know if the entire second floor is infested or the whole hotel is but it needs to be treated... I have reason to believe that I got lice from staying at that hotel and I don't have to tell anyone how disgusting and unacceptable it is to pay money to stay at a hotel that has fleas and lice and God knows what else!!! If you're going to make a hotel pet friendly you better do whatever you have to do to make sure there's no fleas or bugs of any kind and if you can't handle that then don't allow people to bring their damn pets. If I'm ever back in that little town again I won't be staying at this hotel!!

Positive: The location to my event Negative: The door deadbolt lock did not work. They changed my room and the new room deadbolt lock did not work as well. Also, the second room was filthy. They did not mop the floor, it was sticky, did not clean the toilet, bath, or the sink. Hair all over bath.

This Holiday Inn Express was just what we expect from this chain of hotels. Was clean outside and in, and our room was clean and smelled clean. Breakfast was great as was the staff.
Makayla was at the front desk and took very good care of us!

I am a diamond elite member. Myself, my husband and our employees stay at numerous Holiday Inns all across the country. We have never left a Holiday Inn requesting a refund so fast! Our orginal room was not clean upon arrival. Hair and fake eye lashes were all over the bathroom and entryway. There also was piss all over the side of the tub. We went downstairs told the front desk. The lady at the front desk moved us to a different room and it also had hair all over the bathroom as well. My husband also saw small bugs crawing on him We went back downstairs and requested a refund. We were told I'd have to send an email that they could not refund us. I just sent the email so we will see what/when this will happen. Also, the elevator permit is out of date.
