We were going to an event at the civic center and this hotel was located just across the street. I didn't care for how it looked on the outside. We passed people asking for money on our way in and part of the parking lot backs to an area under a highway overpass. Not comfortable parking there. Once we got inside, it was a whole different feel. The hotel was clean. The employees were friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was fine. The normal hotel breakfast.

I decided to give Holiday Inn a chance and I was very impressed with this property. The location is close to downtown and easy to get to. I arrived late, so I didn't really explore the hotel much, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, which is the most important things. The breakfast was really good as well.

I can’t say enough about our experience! We had to find a hotel at last minuet due to our booking with another hotel failing. (It was filthy!) Jodi could not have made a better impression on us! We were all blown away with kindness and compassion that exceeded anything I have ever experienced! People, if you have to pay a few extra dollars (it was competitively priced on Priceline) to treat yourself, this is where you should do it! The rooms took it up to an even higher level! The breakfast was divine as well. Please don’t hesitate to stay here! You certainly won’t regret it!!

After spending a long hard dirty day helping family clean out & renovate a basement, it was a pleasure to shower and relax in a clean quiet room. The lounge chair in the room was perfect for watching TV and so much more preferable than using the bed or desk chair. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the desk personnel and housekeepers all smiled and greeted me and made me feel welcome.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel before. The hotel is in downtown Charleston, right off the interstate. The hotel is is right across the street from the Civic Center. There is a good number of eating and other entertainment nearby. The hotel has plenty of free parking. The staff is friendly and tells you thank you when they see you. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. My wife and I travel to Kentucky often and this is the halfway point to our son. We will be staying here many more times.

The place is amazing! The convenient location puts you right by the coliseum. The room was spacious enough for all of us and very clean. Breakfast was booming with tons of people before our event started and the staff kept it stocked and ready to feed all of the guest. Would definitely recommend and will be back

We stay at this hotel every time we are in Charleston! It is VERY clean, all employees are friendly and helpful! Breakfast is GREAT! Snacks, drinks, etc. are sold at front desk. Rooms are well stocked and very comfortable.
