The room was a standard room. Beds were quite comfortable (neither firm nor soft) with different firmness of pillows labeled. The bed frames were quiet so turning in them did not awaken other family members in the room. Bedding was sufficient. Towels felt a little on the cheap side, and larger containers of shampoo/conditioner/body wash were nice and a little more eco friendly than the tiny bottles. The coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator were adequate. I would have liked the refrigerator to have a small freezer. The heating/cooling system wasn’t super efficient and I never did figure out how to turn on the fan only to circulate the stuffy room air. The bathroom fan took a long, long time to clear the humidity from the room. I would have liked the bathroom light and exhaust fan took be separate so the light did not bother us at night and we could leave the fan on the clear the room’s humidity.

Checkin and out was swift and all of the people at the hotel were very friendly, helpful, and fulfilled our small requests (for hot cocoa, tea) quickly and pleasantly. The complimentary water bottles and snacks at the front desk were a nice treat. Food service staff worked very hard and efficiently to keep everything tidy and stocked at breakfast. Housekeeping staff were pleasant and held brief conversations when we initiated them. Construction workers at the site were also pleasant.

The pool was pleasantly warm and the hot tub deliciously hot. The women’s pool restroom was clean but its shower did not warm past tepid. The pool door lock was wonky and impossible to use without being let in by another pool user.

The renovation in the hotel did not bother us as we know how to look past aesthetics and recognize the service provided. Noise of the construction did not bother us as construction occurred when we were gone. What we needed was at the hotel and provided sufficiently.

The only minor negative aspects was the retrofit toilet with bidets in the room smelled unpleasant as if it was not clean. I don’t know anything about cleaning retrofit toilets with bidets but I wouldn’t tolerate that odor in my home. The induction warmers at breakfast did not keep the hot food hot or even warm. We took the entrees to the room to reheat in the microwave when they grew too cool to be palatable.

I will stay here again, especially with the WWU promo rate offered. It made a three night stay possible instead of a two night stay. It was, after all, WWU that brought us to Bellingham.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at your hotel! Convenient, quiet, safe location, clean, well-appointed room, comfortable bed, good black-out shade. I enjoyed being able to use the hot tub and pool later than most hotels allow (midnight vs. 10:00 PM). We would definitely stay there again!

The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean, the beds and pillows comfy and great water pressure in the shower. The free breakfast has a variety of hot and cold items vs being handed a banana and a granola bar! The coffee is great and perfect drinking temperature. In the summer there is a great courtyard to sit out back in to relax. There is also an indoor pool. Close to hospital, medical offices and shopping. Wonderful value all around. Great place over all. The room was nice and had everything we needed, lots of outlets and charging ports, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the morning breakfast staff was friendly and kept it well stocked. The desk staff helped us find restaurants nearby for dinner. We had a very relaxing stay after a long flight and drive! Didn't get to use the pool and hot tub but it looked very nice and clean.

Felt misled. Booked through their site. Specifically looked for something where I can put the kiddo down separately from the living area. Found a room with 'separate living area' only to find this weird half wall. My office cube offers better separation.

We wanted to avoid this and looked at the photos. Photos did not show this. And the separation doesnt make sense as the tv, desk are on the bed side.

Omg, not happy. Wasted a weekend. Probably have to book another room now to fix this.

Edit: I'm checking out the room and in all fairness... The remodel is nice. If I didn't felt misled (or we didn't have the kiddo with us)... Five star property

Positive: We always stay here in Bellingham. It's a great hotel and great staff. They've been renovating awhile and the new rooms are absolutely lovely. Negative: Not really. I just don't like Meridian Street.

Had a good stay in a clean, newly renovated room. The walls are quite thin so we could hear conversations in adjoining rooms, especially the couple arguing at 1 in the morning. Staff were pleasant. Fire alarm went off in the morning due to renovations. Afterwards we decided to leave without breakfast as it was crazy in the lobby. I do wish we had known about renovations before booking!

We had a great trip. The rooms were a good size and comfortable. We loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was delicious. There were even some gluten free options at breakfast. The staff was friendly. We will be back.
