Would not stay here again. Stairways and outside hallways had trash. Once in the elevator, was worried about getting stuck. Leaving you had multiple stink trash bags sitting there 12+hours. Room seemed fine, until heater or a/c would not stay to the adjusted temp. Had 4 guest and only 2 towels. Asked front desk for 2 more. Received the other 2 towels 10-1030 PM when we had to be up at 5 AM. Ice machine were absolutely disgusting with excess water down below with floating grime in it. Floors to breakfast were dirty. I did not eat breakfast, but kids didn't really either, they said it was gross. Front desk person was very nice.

Good value for money hotel close to major business and leisure attractions. Being next to a busy road, noise levels can be disturbing late in the night or early morning if they honk! My room faced the busy road so I guess they could consider investing in better sound insulation? Staff friendly but did not resolve my issue with flushing system which works but you need to get it at the right strength and angle, meaning you need to try more than once! I would return for the location and value, and the free parking is a plus as well.

I cannot explain in words how great the staff at this holiday inn really is. I have stayed here a handful of times now because this is my go to holiday inn to stay at in Orange County.

First off, Nena and Jen are the best. I believe they are the managers on duty and they really look out for their customers. If I ever need something they always seem to accommodate me. The other front desk personal that I have met Destanie, Mark, Moses, and Jessica have always helped me when I needed towels, soap, or any other issues I have ran into. Thank you for the excellent customer service to all of you. Even the house keeping is always super nice if I ask for anything, Alejandra, Laura, and Gabriela. I have asked for things that were definitely a little extra at times and they have always helped me with what I need. I give this my endorsement for sure. Funny that I have stayed here enough to know their names, which just goes to show how personable they are.

One last thing, the breakfast is great and I want that pancake making machine for my house.

Trash piled up outside the escalator and the trash bin at the side gate. Water was leaking from the ice machine right in front of the escalator where every customer passed by. Strong smell of weed in the hallway was irritating as I stayed with family. Housekeeping knocked the door once then opened the door by herself, asking to check on the body wash/shampoo levels in the restroom. She even defended she'd knocked the door once. Isn't the room supposed to be checked and well prepared before customer checks in? Restroom stunk and didn't flush well. There is only 1 trash can under the sink in the entire room. Random people looked like workers from outside of hotel parked and sat in their car in the parking lot smoking weed and chatting.

I asked for late check-out as I'm a Platinum member. Front desk said it's not honored as there wasn't enough staffing. Platinum membership isn't worth it. I've never gotten a complimentary upgrade or late check-out which Platinum membership is entitled to have. Going to cancel it before it charges me again.

It's not the first time I stay here. It wasn't present the first time and it has gotten worse.

The only good thing in the room is the beds are comfy.

Room Type: King Suite

Duration: 1 week

Pros:

-King Suite was on the smaller side but still comfortable for 1 or 2 people.

-Staff was friendly

-Location is convenient for Knott's Berry Farm

Cons:

-If your room is facing the road you'll hear traffic all night long. Definitely would not recommend for a light sleeper.

-Although my room seemed to have been refreshed to reflect the typical HI layout there were a couple of issues. One blind was ripped right up the middle. When walkijg the property I noticed other mismatched blinds in different rooms. Many of those were also severely damaged.

-The area doesn't seem like the best. I would say it in the not-so-great side of Anaheim.

-The property is old and needs a complete overhaul. It's a motel style layout with many rooms exposed to the outdoors. Tiles are dirty and broken. Overall has a bit of a sketchy vibe.

Final Thoughts:

I will consider this property again in the future but it would be my 3rd or 4th choice. It's not really close to Disneyland so I'd skip unless budget is the deal breaker.

Ive stayed here for 2 nights and my experience hasn’t been that great. First as soon as you enter the hotel it does look quite sketchy and the rooms start to have a bad smell because of the shower curtains. The floor does not seem clean and sleeping was hard for some of my kids and me as well. But one of the problems was with the free breakfast. I went first thing in the morning around 8 and there was absolutely no food there. There was no eggs, sausages, bread, and some cereal but when others would ask the staff if they would bring any more food out they were very rude and disrespectful. I thought it was just because it was just busy that one day but I was totally wrong and it had been the exact same the other day. Also one thing that had happened was when the housekeeping had forgot to give us towel in our room the second day. That day I had came to the hotel around 7:45 and had notice we had not been given any towels in our room. We called the front desk and they said they would bring the towels in a couple minutes. But after waiting for over 30 minutes we have still not received the towels. I had called them again asking thinking they forgot but again they said they would bring it back up but after another hour has passed they still haven’t brought them up so we decided to go down to either pick up the towels or check if they brought them up. We talked to the lady and she said she just asked them to bring those towels up and that she would be there soon. Finally after around 15 min they brought them up but they only gave us 2 tiny towels and said they cant give us anymore even though we didn’t have any in the beginning. I tried explaining nicely that we never got towel and we need enough for 4 people but the lady was very rude and only gave us one floor towel and left. Overall I would give this hotel a one star because of the experience and the rude service

The bed is comfortable, the room is big and clean. But :
One of the staff didn’t look friendly (never smile).
In the room :
there’s no switch at the door. When you come in, you can’t turn on the light at the door.
The hanger for towel is used for hanging a hair dryer. Where’s do we hang 2nd towel ?
There’s no tissue box in the room

When I made a reservation about a month before our visit, I requested a handicapped-accessible room. I specifically asked if there were grab bars around the toilet. I again confirmed this information a few days before our arrival and was assured that there were grab bars around the toilet in our assigned room, 322.

When we got to our room, there were no grab bars! This was extremely important, and they (Destiny at the front desk) could do nothing except offer a discount. Well, it's not like money can help when our disability requires an accessible toilet. There were grab bars in the restroom off the lobby, but that wasn't accessible from our room! We had to go outside of the building and re-enter through the main entrance to get to that restroom. Can you imagine the problem when we needed to use the toilet in the middle of the night in November?

An additional but minor problem was that on the first morning of our visit, nothing hot was available for breakfast except toast.

This is the first problem I've ever had with an IHG or Holiday Inn Express hotel. Advertising that this is an ADA-accessible hotel is a flat-out lie. Despite calling twice to confirm the accessibility, the staff, and management are apparently not welcoming guests with handicapped conditions.
