We have stayed at Hogland House many times because of its breathtaking views of the Puget Sound. From the Lilac room, breakfast table, patio and hot tub,you can relax and enjoy the fabulous water view, which is even more spectacular at night! We love to sit on the patio with a glass of wine and watch the ferries cross over to Whidbey Island at night, the lights reflecting on the water are so beautiful. This is the place we come when we need to relax and get away from it all. Kay is a wonderful hostess and can arrange anything you need!

We Stayed at the most awesome Bed and Breakfast in Mukilteo Wa., it was called the Hogland House. Built in 1906 the rooms are decorated with a floral Victorian theme, beautiful grounds, right on the Puget Sound, walking distance to the ferry, train, good restaurants and the beach. Just a wonderful place and Kay the owner was so accommodating we had planned to leave on Monday but stayed until Thursday. We would definitely recommend this B & B to anyone, for fun, a special occasion but mostly to just relax. The Fry's and thank you Kay

We were visiting friends in Mukilteo and found Hogland House online. What a treasure! Built in 1906, the house has lots of history with some photos inside. We stayed in the Lilac Room which has a stunning view of Puget Sound and it's activities. The room is warmly decorated in a Victorian style and has a TV, microwave, coffee maker and generous refrigerator. Bathroom has a tub/shower. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well every night. It is true that a train runs by the house, but it is about 100 feet lower and since we like trains, hearing it go by (it wasn't loud at all from that distance) just made us rush outside to see it! We also loved exploring the house and grounds. ||When it was cold and drizzly outside, the house was warm and inviting as was the proprietor, Kay. She made 3 completely different, sumptuous breakfasts for us during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend it!

On Sept.3rd, 2005 I stayed here on my wedding night with my new husband, and it was so romantic! The view from the home is breathtaking of Puget Sound. Last night, I stayed here again, 11 years later, and the romance was still kindled. We stayed in a different room, but still beautiful! We hung out in the hot tub this morning after a beautiful waffle breakfast with other pleasant guests to talk to. Kay is a very gracious host. The only reason I haven't stayed here more often, is because my husband and I wanted to travel far before children. Then, we had our daughter. Now, we are expecting a baby boy in three months. I hope this bed and breakfast stays open for a long time, because sneaking away for a night of romance is exactly what me and my husband will need sometimes!

We took an overnight on a drizzly Memorial Day weekend, and discovered the Hogland House just off the ferry approach in Mukilteo, where we have driven past many times. The house is quiet, comfortable, full of historic detail and whimsy, and Kay and her team are laid-back and gracious hosts. Only caveats: trains come by several times day and night below the bluff from the house, and while they didn't really bother us (no whistles or major noise), the vibrations may bother some sensitive sleepers. And breakfast was very good, even accommodating our food preferences, but we might suggest a wider selection and quality of teas. Still, an excellent stay!

We stayed here while visiting family in Mukilteo. The house is historic (1906) and Kay the owner grew up here. Kay is very personable and makes you feel like family. By the end of your stay you want to come back just to visit Kay. She makes a great breakfast every morning and even served us a bit early on our last day to accommodate our departure time. We stayed in the Lilac Room which has a beautiful view of Puget Sound and the ferries going back and forth.

We had an amazing time during our stay at Hogland House on 9/24. We stayed in the lovely Lilac Room. The view from our room was breathtaking and the room itself was delightfully appointed and had everything we could possibly need for a romantic evening! The bed and pillows were soooo comfortable!

The proprietress was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She gave us a discount card for a nearby restaurant called Arnies. The food was superb!

We returned in time to walk the lush grounds and sit on a deck overlooking the water to watch the sunset. We also enjoyed sitting on the beautiful porch and taking in the view.

In the morning, we were served a hearty and delicious breakfast before we had to leave.

We will definitely be going back for special occasions and happily give Hogland House a 5 Star Rating!!!

This was a great place to stay! Beautiful house, gracious hostess, wonderful views of the sound and Whidbey Island, very relaxing. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and could not have picked a better place to stay. Loved the antiques and dolls that furnish the house. Bed was very comfortable and the whole atmosphere was very peaceful.
