Thank you to the staff who made our groups stay so enjoyable! The food was wonderful! The staff were kind and funny and clearly wanted to help in anyway possible. The ranch itself is beautiful. I was in a spacious single room that was rustic and comfortable. The views were amazing and the hiking trails were well maintained.|Thanks to everyone for the wonderful job you do.|

If you want a pristine and rugged yet just-pampered-enough retreat center for a medium to large gathering, the COD is the place for you. The staff is incredible, very friendly and helpful...and the food is amazing. They cater to every diet imaginable, thoroughly. The chefs happily give out their recipes too, if there's something you really like. The views and scenic hiking trails are gorgeous. Plus, they have a piano that ain't too badly out of tune, and the kitchen staff loves when you play. There's lots of beds, a huge fire-pit that's constantly going and a wonderful hot tub and pool. It's a sweet spot. Enjoy!

I'm always a little hesitant to write a review for a sweet little spot like this, because what if everyone knew about it? Would it no longer be so sweet and amazing? Ah well, just have to take that chance.

I've stayed here several times over the past couple of years. The rooms are comfortable enough, a little rustic at times, but that is part of the amazing charm of this place. It is so peaceful and beautiful. The facilities are well kept and they seem to be making constant improvements. The staff are really kind and helpful. The meeting rooms are nice and there is a pool & hot tub. The food is the best I've had at a retreat facility. They accommodate food allergies like I've never seen anywhere else. Each meal not only had a gluten free/dairy free option, but there were choices... as in more than one option for those of us with restricted diets. I look forward to my next visit!

This is the second time that our group has met here for 4-day retreats. It is a beautiful natural setting with glorious views and lots of peace and quiet. The lack of distractions allowed the group to bond well. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. The food is served buffet style, is plentiful and those who are gluten intolerant or vegan are well-accommodated. We had a vegan tres leches cake which was to-die-for. The staff really cares. The huge barn where the group met was very well done. A great place for retreats, weddings, workshops.

I've been here twice for work retreats, and had a wonderful time both times. The cabins are cozy, beds are comfortable, area has lots of trails and interesting things to explore (Biosphere 2 anyone), and most of all the food was very tasty and the staff was excellent. The COD ranch is close enough to Phoenix that the drive isn't daunting, but far enough out of the city to have a wilderness feel. Added bonus - it was almost 10 degrees cooler at the ranch, than at home!

I love this place. I've been several times, and each time is an experience. The rooms are comfortable, rustic, charming and clean. There's a beautiful little pool and hot tub, and from the pool the most amazing views are visible. Hiking and walking are fantastic, with National Park adjacent. Nearby there are a couple of great little spots to eat and to buy the basic amenities, including local fare. The larger town of Oracle has plenty of shopping, Whole Foods, etc. The staff at the COD Ranch could not be more generous and helpful, and they make every attempt to accommodate requests. But the most amazing thing of all about the COD Ranch are the views: astonishing desert vistas. The last time I visited there were lightning storms moving across the desert that were unlike anything I've ever seen.

We have been leading retreats at the COD for several years. Here is what we love: The location and views are amazing because it is in a national park. As a group we are able to reserve the whole ranch to ourselves, even with a mid-size group. The setting is intimate, quiet, and close to town but far enough to feel like you are away from it all. Again, the vistas are stellar. The accommodations are comfortable and charming (with heat, a/c, basic amenities). The accommodations are superior to those at many retreat centers we have been to. Rooms are flexible as they can be used privately (with queen beds for couples,) or shared. Rooms have nice attached private baths. The staff is attentive and willing to accommodate special requests and the latest dietary needs/fads. A lot of retreat centers are really soulless, even if they are in nice places, whereas the COD has lots of charm, soul, and natural beauty.

We recently had a delightful family reunion of 40+ at the COD for the holiday. The ranch brings out all facets of adventure with hiking, biking trails nearby (great closed nature center next door that we don't think we were to be in but WOW) with great amenities for the winter. My family loved the nearby Biosphere now in the hands of the University of Arizona Science Department. Our rooms had the appropriate Western flavor, and were softly Southwestern, and within walking distance of all the various amentities we had brought in for our stay (including a wonderful astrologer). I can only say, "Great fun!" Forty- five minutes out of Tucson, we made forays into town where great restaurants were available. The new chef ( we understand that he is new) offered fabulous meals but also catered to several Vegans we had in the family. We are talking of returning every two years. This ranch becomes yours for the duration of your stay. Staff is available and we LOVED Daniel, but very unobtrusive unless required.Great stars, bonfires, barbecues. We recommend it highly!
