This hotel is located on Pacific Coast Highway with great views of the ocean. We were in a first-floor room, and while it was good, I think the second-floor room would be a better option for unrestricted views. The traffic on PCH wasn't too bad, although I imagine during the summer months it may be a bit louder.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The decor was updated, and the furniture was comfortable. The BBQ on the patio was nice to have and it was convenient having it close by for dinner. The kitchen was well stocked with most things we needed to cook our meals, but additional pans would have been great. We only had one pan.

They offered two different pool areas that overlooked the ocean. One pool area (North Pool) offered two hot tubs. Unfortunately, neither were very warm, and the jets weren't working. There was a pool table in a large area with a TV and seating. Another game room with arcade type games, a Foosball table, and Shuffleboard was also available. We will visit this location again.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room we stayed in was lightly renovated, and it was nice to see that the property is being updated while maintaining the overall quality you’d expect from the Hilton standard.

The location is unbeatable—right across from the beach. We especially loved the complimentary two-hour bike rentals, which allowed our family of four to enjoy a scenic ride along the beach to a local diner, about a 20-minute ride each way. It was a fun and memorable activity for all of us.

The outdoor pool was a highlight! The water was warm enough to enjoy even in chilly weather, and the two hot tubs were a perfect way to relax. Everything was super clean, and the view of the sunset from the pool was absolutely stunning.

We also enjoyed the community rooms, which included a pool table and an arcade area with classic games. However, the arcade machines required tokens, which we purchased from a change machine. It would be a nice touch if the tokens were complimentary for guests.

While we were hoping to stay in one of their fully renovated rooms, the room we had was still comfortable and met our needs. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’re looking forward to seeing the completed renovations next time!

Overall was a very pleasant experience, they are going through some renovations ATM but they keep it cleaned up and respectable. We had a ocean view room and loved the view and sounds of the waves. It was in a great area and easy to get around. We drove to disney 40mins away and universal 1.5hrs away, or a little over 2 with traffic. I would say the only downfall on our room was the bathroom was very small

We booked a room for a Saturday night stay due to my wifes company Christmas party in the area. The room was nice enough upon arrival, although it was a strange set up with a living room/kitchen area as well as a bathroom with a sink, tub, and toilet. However there was also a sink in the bedroom, which I thought was a little strange but no big deal, or so I thought.||We were woken up at 3 am by the sound of dripping water. Upon flipping on the light we discovered that the sink in the bedroom had backed up apparently because water was gushing up from the sink onto the counter top and spilling out onto the floor. This was not a little water this was a full on flood in our bedroom. All items we had on the counter (wifes make up, travel bag etc,) were completely soaked as well as any items that were on the floor (shoes, suitcase etc.) were also completely soaked.||The water continued overflowing for another 10 minutes as we were on the phone with the front desk trying to explain to them what was happening. It finally did stop and we were too tired to pack up all our items to move to another room at 3:30 am, so we decided to stay in the flooded room. ||We spoke to front desk manager in the morning and explained what happened after several minutes of back and forth they finally agreed to refund our stay. ||Unfortunately it has been 3 weeks and we still have not had our credit card refunded. I am being told now that it will be another 30 days before we will receive a refund check in the mail.||I certainly undertsand plumbing issues that perhaps had something to do with the construction going on at the hotel (that we were not made aware of prior to booking) but what I don't understand is the Hilton "policy" ? that they only send refund checks and will not credit back to the card that we booked to hotel with and that they charged.||It's 2025 for crying out loud why is Hilton stuck in the stone age of writing a check. Yes I understand that maybe that the hotel is separate and independantly owned, but come on update your policy. |Hilton customer service has been extremely subpar both at this specific hotel and at the corporate location for Hilton Honors- great way to treat your customers-- exacerbate the horrible stay we had by not refunding our credit card and instead making us wait more than a month .. still waiting for a check in the mail.

Stayed here for 2 nights after a long flight from London to LAX. Only 1 hour away from the airport and much nicer than staying at the hotels at the airport.

Stayed in a 1 bed ocean view apartment, which had great views from the 4th floor.

The elevator in the building we were in was out of service when we arrived, but we were able to use an alternative elevator. We did notice as we were checking out, that the elevator had been fixed that morning. Plenty of parking available as well.

This property is in a great location! If location is a top priority, this is a good choice. The room we had did not meet our expectations. The property is very clean, and the staff takes pride in their work. The bed and pillows were poor, which is critical to the enjoyment of a trip. The bathroom is well-appointed in the one-bedroom but has a one-sink vanity.

I love This resort for Several reasons. First And very important is the Wonderful staff Who greet And assist visitors. Secondly, the location is perfect with walking distance to the beach and the most beautiful sunsets in California! Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riviera Beach & Shores Resort in Capistrano Beach, and overall, it was a delightful experience with some room for improvement.

The location is fantastic, situated right on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), making it incredibly convenient to access the beautiful beach just a quick walk away via the pedestrian bridge. The resort provides excellent amenities, including beach chairs, coolers, and bikes, which made our beach outings enjoyable and hassle-free.

One of the highlights of our stay was the suite's kitchenette and BBQ area on the patio. Being able to cook our own meals added a lovely homey touch to our vacation. The remodeled bathroom with its spacious shower was a nice modern feature, although we did notice that the overall room could use some maintenance. We stayed in Phase 2, and the suite definitely showed signs of wear, including the need for a fresh coat of paint and updated flooring.

Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service during our stay, which made transporting our bags to the room a bit inconvenient.

In summary, Riviera Beach & Shores Resort is a great choice for those looking to enjoy a beach getaway with the convenience of self-catering. With a little attention to maintenance and upgrades, it could be an even more enjoyable destination. I would recommend it for its prime location and thoughtful amenities but hope they address the maintenance issues for future guests.
