We stayed in the timberland retreat cottage and had the best weekend! The drive up to the cottages from town really sets the scene for a peaceful and private mountain get away. Everything was so clean, modern and cozy. My husband and I don’t get to travel very often so we were SO thankful and excited that we enjoyed this stay so much. If given the chance we will definitely be back. But in the mean time, will recommend to everyone we can!

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Forest Hideaway at Highland Cottages. The tiny cottage was beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and charm in the midst of nature. We especially loved the hot tub, which made for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience under the stars. The peaceful surroundings and cozy atmosphere made our stay truly memorable. Highland Cottages was the perfect getaway! We stayed at the Timberland Retreat cabin and loved every second of it. The inside of the cabin is incredibly beautiful and very comfortable. They even provided a delicious loaf of freshly baked bread and complimentary drinks for us to enjoy! Our favorite features were the hot tub and outdoor shower, perfect to relax. Also, they sent very detailed instructions, and their response time was impeccable. Highland Cottages was everything we imagined and more, we’ll definitely be back soon!

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time here. It was our first trip together, and we could not have gone to a better place. The cottages are a great option for people who don't want to drive to Georgia or Tennessee for a cabin-like feel. I highly recommend it! Quick responses, relaxing, peaceful, and private. The perfect place for a romantic getaway. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

We stayed here the night of our wedding and absolutely loved it! Our cottage was Whispering Pines. Very clean, and neat! Everything was perfect inside and out. Loved every second of it!

We had the most amazing experience ever at the Highland Cottages. Every little corner has been thoughtfully designed and decorated. The hosts were so kind to leave us complimentary drinks, coffee, bottled water and homemade bread. Outdoor shower and the hot tub just add to the fun. Oh, there were two bathrobes and slippers too ? Take a short trip to lake Guntersville while you are there. It is worth a visit!! I highly recommend this luxury cabin if you are looking for a peaceful staycation.

We loved this tiny home experience so much! Every single thing about the home was perfect for our night away from the kids. The panoramic glass door was such a cool centerpiece to the entire home and we loved the outdoor hot-tub and shower. The outdoor scenery was great and just a 12 min drive to City Harbor! Can't wait to book again in the fall!

Absolutely beautiful! Cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful, peaceful, and breathtaking place. Highly recommend if you’re looking for relaxation. The cabins are cozy, clean, and very modern. Very close to the lake, pier, and stores. Will definitely come back!
