Absolutely stunning. This is our third year coming to these cabins. Every year we enjoy it. It was our first time bringing our dog, I was so glad they are pet friendly. This place is so perfectly cozy and very private. I love the decor, it is cozy cabin but not like moose/bear/flannel checker type cabin. The service was great it was a crazy ice storm the second day and they were out there as soon as possible sanding everything so we could get out. I will warn you if you are coming in the winter the trails are not groomed so they aren't really usable. Also the fire pit was buried under the snow and we weren't able to use it. Other than those super minor things we absolutely loved it and will continue to come back!

I long to return to High Point Retreats! I loved the peaceful nature of the cabins. Description & pictures online matched the cabin perfectly. Tim's (the owner) communication & assistance was TOP NOTCH!

We felt safe & had ways to communicate with management if we needed anything.

The beds & pillows were THE MOST comfortable I've slept in away from home!

I have yet to find a better place to stay. Each time I compare it to High Point!

The only thing that could make this absolute perfection, would be having sustainable & local soaps/cleaning items. I THINK I recall seeing coffee cups made by a local artist --What a fabulous idea!

As a lover of Mother Nature, bringing in more independent artists, plastic free items would compliment the beauty & surroundings of High Point perfectly. The views are so peaceful, so by using environmental cleaning supplies, etc, it just would be the perfect way to honor the land.

Great place for a quiet getaway escape. Amazing views from well-designed cabins with wonderful porches, loft bedrooms, well-stocked kitchens, comfy sofas and chairs, all you could want. And some of the cabins are dog friendly. The cabins are on a quiet road that is so little travelled it is like a private drive way. Each cabin is set on ridge so you don’t see the others. It’s a great place to escape for peace and quiet, far from highways or other noise. We’ve stayed at two different cabins, in two different seasons and are likely to come back. You book through Airbnb. But can also see photos on highpointretreat.net. Two bedrooms so they can fit 4, but we’ve always done as a couple with a dog. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking dinner.

We booked a quick weekend trip for our first anniversary. We stayed at Bunker Hill. It was everything we could have wanted and more. The cabin is so well designed to enjoy nature. The property and trails are fun to explore. The trail signs are great, especially Fern Gully. If you love a quiet, nature moment with a comfy bed and thoughtful amenities, go ahead and book this place. We will definitely return.

My husband and I found this treasure last year, stayed in February and did not leave the cabin the whole weekend. The cabin is perfect for a relaxing and serene getaway with a gorgeous view, exactly what we needed! While we did not explore the nature walk or surrounding area, they look nice. We are excited for another quiet winter stay in one of the most beautiful and relaxing places! This is to be an annual get-away from now on!

My boyfriend and I booked a stay for my birthday these past few days. Considering it was the beginning of November, it was unseasonably warm and worked out perfect as we were able to enjoy the deck and gorgeous views (even if all the leaves were already off). We stayed in the Bunker Hill cabin which was super cute and had most of the amenities you could ask for! The only down fall of this cabin is the lack of TV. Had it been raining and/or cold, there wouldn't be much to do in the cabin, or at night to wind down or even in the morning when you just want to chill for a little bit. This feature would have been nice to have, especially since you're a little out there, so it's kind of a trek into town. There was also only 1 game at our cabin, and thought it would at least have a deck of cards as well to pass our time. We plan on coming again, but staying in a different cabin with these amenities as well as bring a crock pot as there is no stove. We also brought a little grill as well. I do have to say, it was very nice to allow dogs! They were worn out after a little hike thru the trails.

My husband and I found our new favorite place for a much needed getaway to relax and refresh! The views were stunning. We sat outside on the deck with a bottle of wine and watched the sun as it set behind the ridge. In the morning the sunrise was as equally beautiful. We stayed in the Pine Knob cabin and we highly recommend it. The view there is perfect. We plan on returning in the fall to see the fall colors. I'm a bit picky about mattresses and let me tell you it was so comfy! I'm actually considering getting whatever mattress they have there because I think I had the best night sleep I've had in a long time! We loved being able to have a full kitchen since my husband loves to cook. In the morning we had our coffee out on the deck and watched the sunrise and then went for a nice walk up the road. It was so quiet and peaceful! We definitely plan on returning to experience the fall colors and even watch the snow fall while snuggled up on the wrap around couch. Highly recommend!!

I can not recommend this place enough! One of the most restorative, peaceful, gorgeous getaway weekends I have had in years! I was lucky to visit a weekend in the fall where the colors were just perfect! Wonderfully stocked kitchen for cooking, great sleeping arrangements, incredible view from the back deck as well as some great trails for exploring! Will be making this my regular cabin getaway for the future!
