Impressed. Coming from Europe, to me this place felt super authentic and I have no words for the employees. All super friendly and had nice conversations with everyone visiting. Food was great too. Highly recommend!

We ordered:
- breakfast burrito with sausage 9/10 you can change the sausage for bacon and other stuff
- chicken fried on top of a thin waffle 8/10
- corned beef hash & eggs 9/10
- original waffle 8/10
- original pancake 8/10
- hot cocoa 10/10 it’s made with water and it’s amazing

The food was pretty good but they took forever to give us our plates, for real like 45 minutes.

The diner is a little filthy, the rug is not clean, the restrooms are not clean. I’m not from San Diego and I’ve been there twice, it’s really different from the first time I was there it’s like they stop caring.

Wanted to try this classic new York style diner in LA Jolla village and the atmosphere is top tier Americana with baseball photos and art all over the walls. We came here expecting the price point to be about 10-20 person per google but we were floored when everything started at $20. The espresso drinks are good, but at $7 and up for a latte I would expect foam art not just a messy dollop. As for the food, the food wasn't great. I ordered pancakes and they somehow had no flavor at all. It's like they're made with just flour, water and baking powder, no milk or buttermilk. I couldn't even finish them. We had hashbrowns too and those definitely came out of a casserole dish not made fresh because the inside was gooey and not crispy enough. It looked like a slice of coffee cake not hashbrowns. I've had better food for less. The servers were super nice but inattentive. Overall I would skip this place unless you only want coffee and pastries.

Delicious food—such fluffy and tasty pancakes! We enjoyed the smoked salmon omelette and pancake combo. Lovely family-owned diner!

Excellent omelets and pancakes. Pets welcomed. We sat outside where it was breezy & sunny. Three tables had dogs! Friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Milk shakes were great!! Small private lot out back for guest parking.

The customer service shows the true American spirit. The kind lady felt like she was my long lost aunt, ensuring food was not cooked near any type of pork which is commendable as many do not eat pork.

The waffle can take a Gold medal in terms of its batter and crunch. Maple syrup is real. Hashbrowns are to talk about for centuries to come. Oh and the cops start their day here too, so just know it’s for everyone.

This was the sweetest little cafe that we stumbled upon in La Jolla! The food was great, and the service was even better; everyone was SO friendly. I honestly can’t wait to go back. I had the corned beef hash breakfast with sourdough toast, and it was delicious. My sister had a veggie burrito, which she loved as well!

Our server (Terras) and the cook were wonderful and put care into their work. My girlfriend and I chose to split one of our dishes and they took care to divide it and present it beautifully. We sat outdoors, where they played classical music (Mozart string quartets and the like). We had chosen not to go to another popular brunch spot in the area and it was clearly the right choice.
