I want to tell you this is a very beautiful area and well worth a visit! There’s something for everyone here. If you’d like the outdoors and you’d like to hike trails, you would love the area! There are a ton of breweries that not only make delicious libations, but also great homemade sodas! A lot ofLil mom-pop restaurants to choose . The views are amazing. If you enjoy learning our country’s history, then this will really be a treat for you! It is where Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland meet!

Historical Haprers Ferry was great! Called the Point…where the great Shenandoah river and Potomac river merge! Also where John Brown took his last stand against slavery. So many great historical landmarks to see and history to learn! Went on a weekday, Harpers Ferry was busy with school children for a field trip. But…definitely not as busy as the weekend! And all of the kids were very respectful, unlike some others school trips I’ve encountered. Parking is either downtown or 2 miles away at the Harpers Ferry National Park visitor center. You can take a shuttle from there or walk 2 miles along the Shenandoah river to all the historical attractions. You do have to pay to park. Unless you have a national park pass then it’s free at the visitor center, but you have to shuttle or walk.

The park is well-maintained, featuring clear signage and convenient amenities. The staff at the visitor center are friendly and knowledgeable, offering valuable insights and recommendations. Parking can be limited during peak times, so it is advisable to arrive early. Additionally, shuttle services are available to transport visitors from parking areas to key locations within the park.

This place gets busy. Come early. Parking in town is limited. You will have to come early to do that. Most people park at the visitor center and take the shuttle. It was a 20 dollar entrance fee. The entire town is technically part of the park. There is not much left of the mills. There are a few little storefronts that allow u to view the structures as they were. There are some restaurants in town for a quick bite. U can actually walk from the visitors' center into town. It's pleasant as long as the weather is good. There are some steps, so be careful. The trail begins at the back of the parking lot

Out of the Movie like scenario.
Beautiful experience going around the whole place.
They have a small documentary Movie also,don't miss it.Tells the history of the place. The walking trail is also damn green and the bus service every ten minutes comfortable.

We left home to be at this location not knowing much. But on the way itself we could feel the beauty of the park. Reached there by around 3.30 pm Nov beginning, entry charges are there but worth spending that little money. parked car at the main parking place ( can drive up to the park location some time parking space may be an issue) and used the shuttle bus service free, accommodated kid’s stroller also. When we arrived at final park location the return queue was very long.

It’s absolutely beautiful park the sunlight falling on the mountain and colour changing is taking place, amazing natural beauty, slightly cold, had our jacket can spend an hour walking around, great places to have coffee, beer, liquor, and great foods too.By the time we were ready to return not much rush, was around 5 pm about to close usually at 6 pm, driving Back home we choose the chestnut mountain road, another amazing and heartwarming natures beauty.

Love that a place with such historical significance is a short drive from DC. Park at the park's visitor lot and hop on the free shuttle and enjoy the tour narration. Only downside is you cannot Bring your pets for who can travel with furry friends.

The town is lovely. Lots of little shops and a few good places to grab a bite. Check out the Amtrak station when you have a chance. It's cute.

The surround outdoor spaces provide ample opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Always nice to visit Harper's Ferry. Parked in NPS parking lot after paying. Buses run every 10 minutes so the wait was short. Ate at a restaurant in town and visited at the shoppes. Looked at the NPS exhibit afterwards and a visit to see the water
