We had a wonderful two-day stay at the Guest House, staying in the Blue Bird suite. The room was very clean, comfortable, well-appointed with everything we needed, and quiet. We slept like babies after busy days of hiking around Harpers Ferry. Everything was clearly communicated to us prior to our arrival and we had no issues coming and going through the well-marked private entrance. The hosts went above and beyond to proactively assist us in knowing about more limited dining options on the particular days we were visiting (Monday/Tuesday), which helped us easily find nice places to dine. We would be happy to return. If it’s your first visit to Harpers Ferry, I highly recommend a tour with one of the certified guides available through the Harpers Ferry Park Association.

Just got back from our stay here in the Cardinal room. We had such a nice stay. The room is large with a king size bed (steps provided for us short people!). The comforters and pillows are cozy. The room and bathroom were very clean (with the exception of debris in the over head light and fan - but not a biggie).|We knew this was not a bed and breakfast and so were delightfully surprised to have a stocked fridge (milk, juice and yogurts) as well as cereals, bottled water and snack bars alongside the coffee maker. We were also told to just let them know if we needed more of anything.Place settings provided, as well as wine glasses and a bottle opener for your own wine. These little touches, along with providing a clock, reading glasses, and hair dryer were so sweet.|The owners provide excellent communication for arrival and departure and are at hand for any questions. We would stay here again! Would love to see the area in the fall.

On a recent adventure on Amtrak to Harpers Ferry, WV we stayed at the Bluebird Suite, a Guest House. First, this is a Guest House not a hotel or bed & breakfast. The difference is the Guest Hose does not have all the services as with a hotel and a B&B. In saying that, it was a very nice room with a semi-private entrance. There was a patio outside with chairs and tables. In the room there is a small refrigerator, coffee maker (Keurig), coffee pods and other items in both the refrigerator and on the cabinet. Access was all self service using a key code they sent a few days before our arrival as well as a list of restaurants that were open on Monday. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and the TV had as many channel options as anyone would want. The bathroom had a shower stall with ample towels. What we were not told about was the common area where there were games and other items including supplies for the room. The area is residential and very quiet. The only issue we had was that on paper the Guest House appear to be only several blocks away, a short walk of maybe a ½ mile from the train station; however, reality is that it was all uphill! We also found that there was no cab or uber service available. We decided to have dinner first at a restaurant close to the train station, up a long flight of stairs. At the restaurant we inquired with the waitperson about transportations services, he found us a person who took us to the Guest House. A 5 Star rating!

Stayed here for an early Valentine's Day retreat in the Bluebird room and loved it. Very cute and cozy, conveniently located within walking distance of essentially everything including the Appalachian Trail, and the hosts even left us snacks and beverages! The place has many different board games in the common area for you to play, and the bathroom in our suite was VERY spacious. Outside there was a sitting area with a firepit although it was much too cold when we went to enjoy that. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home just a quick walk from historic Harper's Ferry. The room was clean, comfortable and full of thoughtful amenities. They also have an electric charger which is so fantastic for people with an electric car! Highly recommend staying in this beautiful home!

we stayed in the chickadee room. the bathroom is separate, but less than two steps away in the hallway. the beds are comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the shared room was stocked with snacks/breakfast items! locks are easy to use.
some amenities include shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, hangers, extra pillows, a map of harper’s ferry, board games, books, dishes, microwave, mini fridge, wine opener, etc.
hosts were informative and helpful! their check in directions were easy to follow.
if you don’t plan on renting a car or taking an uber, the walk up the hill from lower town (with added luggage) is ALL uphill. keep this in mind, especially if you’re taking the train! i advise that you pack lightly. the walk is more difficult than it may seem with heavy bags.

This guesthouse was amazing. To be clear, it’s not a traditional Bed & Breakfast, nor does it advertise to be one. It is called Harpers Ferry Guest House, so if that confuses you, it it no fault of the business. Everything was perfect about our stay. There is free parking which is a huge bonus. Check in was a breeze. We had the Chickadee room which consisted of two single beds, perfect for me and my husband and his constant leg kicking at night! We had our own dedicated separate bathroom and use of the kitchen area. We had plenty of breakfast options left out for us - all sorts of granola bars, yogurt, applesauce, cereal, milk, orange juice and coffee. Beds were comfortable and our room was adorable. Everything was very clean. It’s walking distance to town yet very quiet and in a beautiful neighborhood. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio area and watching the birds. We loved our stay and if we return we will stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
