Wonderful ice cream, a lot of great flavors! In person the servings were bigger than when we have them delivered (where an order of smal, medium and large all arrived in the same sized packaging).

Come here too often & not enough!
Location is so convenient when there is a line always worth the wait (it moves quick)
Buckeye is a must if you love PB & Chocolate I get it every time now!
Management at this location is wonderful and going above and beyond to make sure service standards are met!

Not even a big ice cream fan but the ice cream here is awesome. Really interesting flavors and none that I tried were bad. Had ice cream here for like 5 times in the span of 2 months that I was in this area.

Absolutely delicious. Rich, creamy, nicely flavoured and heavenly Handel's ice cream.
I was not expecting to see a line at 7pm on Sunday but I was not surprised. Then I saw the sign that says there was never a line for bad ice cream - very true indeed.
There is a bit of line to get your ice cream but it is worth it. The people and staff are great. Portions are huge. We all had single scoops but it looks more like 3. Prepare to bring your crave and have Handel put a smile to it.

Handles ice cream is hands-down the best ice cream in San Diego county. It’s homemade and absolutely delicious. My favorite flavors are coffee chocolate chip, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, butter pecan, and pistachio. Because it’s homemade, I do not have problems eating it like I do with other ice creams that are highly processed. They also have vegan and gluten free options and my friend loved the mango and coconut ones. The employees are incredibly sweet and it is always a pleasure to go to this location. Parking is plenty full! If you like ice cream, this is the place for you!

Visiting from Texas and this was our first visit to Handel’s. We got the waffle cones and strawberry cheesecake and cookie dough ice cream. Both were delicious. It was a big serving but we finished it all. They have super friendly and courteous staff. Prices were reasonable. They are open until 11pm most days and have outside sitting only, which might be a drawback for some people but we absolutely loved the experience. Highly recommend this homemade ice cream parlor.

What a great way to spend a Friday! It's always a good time for ice cream in my mind but Handel's holds an extra special place in my heart. It no wonder Handel's has been creating yummy ice cream for as long as they have been. Their flavors are the best and each created with unique, fresh flavors. I got the banana cream pie, coconut cream pie, coffee chocolate chip, and orange dream and each was equally as delicious. I have to say if I had to pick a favorite out of this sampler bunch it would be the coconut cream pie, loaded with fresh coconut and the banana cream pie,, loaded with fresh banana's. So many great flavors, can't wait till the holidays roll back around for Handel's Egg Nog and peppermint stick ice creams.

The San Marcos location is in a great spot, lots of local shopping and dining around. Grab a bit to eat and some desert or make the sampler your meal (ice cream is my favorite food group). The staff is friendly as well. Close to the freeway, no reason not to stop by and treat yo self! We were lucky enough to attend the Yelp Elite week event. Thank you Handel's San Marcos, Anne and Yelp for another great Elite week event

It was crazy fun! They had a fundraiser for San Marcos teachers. So many people enjoying ice cream!!
The ice cream is the BEST! They gave very generous servings. We sat at one of their outdoor tables and enjoyed our ice cream with our friends.
