So I usually stay outside downtown Madison because I don’t need to be near the “hustle and bustle” of State Street. But my go-to hotel was sold out so I hit the Hampton Inn. And now I have two go-to hotels for Madison. This hotel is beautiful. My room was a King “suite” (just one room) and it was huge and comfortable. I had a massive desk to work at and a couch and comfy chair, as well as a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was very good and they kept it replenished all the way to close. The lobby is massive with lots of comfortable places to chill. I assume this means it’s insane on game days, graduation weekend, etc. I ate at the attached restaurant one night and it was delicious. The pool and gym looked nice (I didn’t try). It was definitely more expensive than staying a bit farther away but did not have the b.s. daily fees other hotels charge. Parking did cost but it comes with in/out privileges and is a nice, secured, enclosed structure attached to the hotel. Staff was wonderfully helpful. One tip is that the laundry seemed pricey: 2 bucks to wash, 2 bucks to dry and I needed to dry my load of only a few items twice. But that’s nitpicky and not the fault of the staff. All in all it’s a great hotel.

This was our favorite hotel we have stayed at! The customer service was excellent, from the breakfast crew, to the pool maintenance crew, to the desk staff (especially Mari - very knowledgeable, friendly, and accomodating - 5 stars!!). The beds were comfortable, the rooms were extremely clean - the entire hotel was very clean. There was an unfortunate mess in the pool with a toddler and the pool staff reacted promptly and professionally and left no doubt they are top notch in caring for the facilities- they even apologized for the inconvenience and were not put out at all that they had to deal with it. The breakfast was the best continental breakfast we've ever had - lots of variety and very tasty. Highly, highly recommend, we will be back!

Clean hotel and rooms, smells nice. The breakfast eating area was pretty with an indoor connection to next door cafe. Nice location with lots of food options nearby. Comfy beds and the suites are a great size for a family. Very quiet. Highly recommend.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff really care about everything, and it shows in the detail that housekeeping uses, the touches such as the hot cocoa bar, among how they seem to really enjoy their job. The lobby area is super nice with lots of common space. The pool and hot tub is amazing, and the Brunch club restaurant is great. The rooms are very spacious and nice, we had a studio suite. The location is great with lots of restaurants and State St very close. This is our go to anytime our travels bring us to Madison, which is a super cool city. Thank you for being the best Hampton Inn ever!

We stayed here and had a room block for our July 2024 wedding. The lobby, amenities, and rooms were amazing! Everything was clean, bright and updated. The staff helping us with the room block were incredibly responsive -- thank you, Edson, Tiffany and Holly. The front desk team was kind and helpful!! We even got a gift basket signed by the hotel team with some amazing goodies and treats to congratulate us on our wedding. We truly had a wonderful experience -- thank you!

Posting Nov 2024, a building has started construction next door. I like construction, so it was cool for me. If you're sensitive to such things, ask to be on the other side.
The hot tub was hot. The pool looked cool.
Breakfast was excellent every morning.
Room temp controls were great.
Walkable distance to campus and lots of food places.

Very close to the Farmer's Market (good). Great brunch place connected next door, and a reasonable breakfast provided by the hotel, if you're not in the mood for brunch.

Staff was exceptionally helpful. The room was huge. Good breakfast. Missed using the pool, but it was great that they had one. There's a washer & dryer available if u need to wash or dry something. Free parking. Overall, great hotel.
