Over-charged first night due to unknown "factors". Tried to resolve the issue with no result. No toilet paper in the room. Room much smaller than expected. Only good experience was the excellent front desk clerk who seemed to be putting in a lot of long hours but extremely efficient and compassionate.

Got to the room and noticed some extra hairs lingering in the bathroom. I chalked it up to a lazy housekeeper and continued my stay in this room. Woke up at 3am to use the bathroom and noticed we had more than just a lazy housekeeper. We have a breakdown in the housekeeping systems. The toilet, which I didn’t use until this time and the lid was down when I initially walked in there upon arrival in the room, was disgusting. That toilet Appears to have been skipped being cleaned several times. Instant cringe. Packed up my stuff and went and sat in my car until breakfast. Which that didn’t even look appetizing at this point. I grabbed some fruit, which was the best thing about this motel, yes motel, and jetted out of there. I mentioned it to the front desk clerk and she said “oh sorry, that’s not our standards here.” And nothing more. No offer of points, a refund ( which Hilton ultimately gave me) or show of remorse. If you stay here, be sure to check your room, including bathroom, for cleanliness prior to unpacking.

Breakfast was solid. The room was decent except for a few issues.
The toilet was stained brown deep inside of the bowl.
Three of the eight pillows had stains on them; one had a bit of hair on it.
The bed itself had a slight lean to it when lying down on it; I could tell I was leaning to one side.
I also had issues with the thermostat. It seemed to lose power once a day. I was able to temporarily fix it when this happened by tapping the thermostat.

Solid experience. Clean and staff was kind when we checked in. Good location to visit sites in Southern Arizona. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had enough choices. One lady was really trying to keep up but people were patient. Everything was clean and well kept.

This was by far the best Hampton Inn I have stayed at. They had events almost every day of the week that included fresh baked cookies, drinks and snacks. The staff was amazing especially Matilda who made me feel right at home. I had to stay for a couple weeks for work. When I am in the area, this will be my home away from home.

Believe the bad reviews. Management “taking it seriously” means you’ll get a toilet as filthy as the picture below and housekeeping that wouldn’t pass muster at a Super 8.We rented two rooms for ourselves and traveling/vacationing friends. This hotel’s poor condition and unhygienic appearance was embarassing to my family and for my friends.I can guarantee you that Hilton executives don't stay in rooms this unsanitary when they travel.I've been a Diamond member for a decade plus and I would have never reached that level if every property was this slack.

Follow up…Sharp readers will note that management fobbed my concerns off on a dead end email box that nobody ever responds to at corporate HQ. Take note of this before you lay down Hilton -sized prices for a Motel 6-quality room. If they truly took things “seriously”, there would be exactly one bad review and then the issues would be fixed and kept fixed.

I had booked 2 rooms via Expedia for my family. After I booked, I called the hotel to ensure the rooms were adjoined since it was just me, my wife, and 3 boys staying (only 2adults). The person at the front desk advised that their system was down and he could not guarantee the rooms were adjoined. Since this was a last minute trip, I told him to cancel my reservation and I would make arrangements at another hotel. He said he would make note of it.

The very next day, I found I was charged for the 2 rooms that I had canceled. I called the front desk and spoke to a staff member who advised that the housekeeper had answered my call (I was not aware I was speaking to a housekeeper). She claimed the housekeeper told her I wanted to cancel only if I could not get an adjoined room. She stated that she had called me to confirm the rooms. I never received such call. I asked if she actually spoke with someone or just left a msg and she claimed no recollection. This surprised me since she’s the one who made the alleged call 1 day ago. How many messages were handled by the housekeeper that were relayed to her? I can’t imagine there were that many. And if there were, what is going on at that hotel?

I asked why my card was charged since I only authorized charge upon check in on Expedia and she advised they considered all guests checked in at 6pm (regardless if they checked in or not). I asked for a refund since I cancelled the rooms in the appropriate time frame and was told she could not do that.

Adding insult to injury, she said that I was supposed to cancel through Expedia and not them! What the heck!! No where on any information provided via email or on Expedia’s site state that I have to cancel through Expedia. On the contrary , it states to contact the hotel for questions or concerns.

What I’m most upset with is that they had a housekeeper answering the phone and providing poor information/service. Despite admitting this by the hotel staff member, I’m utterly frustrated that I’m getting a run around to get a refund of nearly $400. There were no apologies, just insinuations that this was all my fault since I booked through Expedia.

All in all, I’m not impressed with the customer service. I do NOT recommend this hotel!

I appreciate your response adding that you would look into this matter further but it’s obviously just an attempt to look good on reviews. I already spoke to the manager who was rude and refused to fix the situation. Expedia contacted the manager requesting a refund and they too were refused. The way this hotel runs is ridiculous. This hotel made the error, but still refuses a refund. Reading other posts, it sounds like this is a recurring theme of fraudulent schemes.

Don't ever expect goodwill or sympathy from this management. One morning, I made a same-day reservation by phone direct to the property. Then tried to cancel it about an hour later -- in person, with explanation for extenuating circumstances (which involved trying to help a family in distress). Nope. No refund. I understand there are policies, but exceptions are sometimes in order. The staff seemed reluctant to "bother" the general manager, and my email and phone calls to him went unacknowledged. They do NOT strive to serve their customers or the community.
