No parking! The only options are public parking or valet, both of which cost $30 per day. |Room was big enough to play volleyball, and breakfast was good. Room overlooked a noisy street, and the air conditioning unit did not block any sound, so I got to listen to drag races and people yelling until midnight. Tried to watch the television and just got a message saying "app unavailable" on every channel. Bring a book or crossword puzzles. |Bathroom nice but inadequate lighting, and the towels smelled like they didn't use any laundry detergent. |Staff was very friendly and the free coffee was good. Good variety of restaurants nearby but you'll pay $20 for a hamburger.

They have seriously attitude and quality problems at reception.

I stayed two nights from this Friday till Sunday.

They have happy hour free beer serving in right front of reception. Despite happy hour, I was asked to pay 9 bucks?!?!? The lady at second night did right explanation for me to have free beer.

I just left a hotel and noticed that I’m charged for two nights valet parking. I called up reception and ask them for fixing the issue. The lady over the phone said I have two cars. I said it’s not possible because of me as an adult and my son 11 years old. How is it possible to have two cars. She said she’ll fix and hanged up without any apologies.

As you know, you have many options in down town. Don’t waste your money in vain.

As a UK Diamond Member I often use British Hampton Inns and know full well that they sit at the bottom of the Hilton food chain. We get smaller rooms but exactly the same facilities and there the comparison ends. Our Reception areas are multi functional with the reception staff doubling as bar staff, They can check you in, pour a glass of wine and sell you snacks at the same time. No bar here and sales from the shop are do it yourself. Then there is the breakfast. In the UK expect a full "English" with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, eggs, baked beans as well as sausages and bacon. Also a wide range of cereals, toasts, sweet muffins and even waffles!! All served on china plates with coffee mugs, glasses and metal cutlery. No disposable trash. We also get fresh coffee from "bean to cup" machines. Frankly the "soft" product is a disgrace. I am not blaming the staff who do their best: they are delivering what Hilton thinks it can get away with. Poor value for money.

The hotel is walking distance to a lot of great places to eat, and the Riverside convention center. The staff is very friendly, valet parking very convenient and bonus was a delicious breakfast! We enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we have another event at the convention center!

Stayed here for a romantic new years and anniversary. Room was $225 plus an extra $100 for deposit. Room was great and location was great. We checked out on time but now my card is being charged an extra $280 because they said we left the room a mess. There were a few fake rose petals on the floor. My partner just wanted to have a romantic night. I understand keeping the deposit but charging an amount that was more than the stay is ridiculous. Called the hotel and they were rude. I feel like they are just scamming us. Do not recommend.

Our stay at Hampton Inn Riverside Downtown was pleasant overall, though it did started with a hurtful nuisance.

After checking into my room, I kicked off my shoes, was getting settled in and stepped on a gnarly goat head! After an hour in the room I ended stepping on 6!! Some of them really hurt. After the 6th, I had enough and called the front desk and asked to switch rooms. The staff handled the situation quickly and professionally, moving me to a new room without hesitation.

The new room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made for a restful stay. The hotel’s location is a big highlight—it’s right in the heart of downtown Riverside, close to many attractions. I especially appreciated being within walking distance of the Food Lab, a vibrant food hub. If you are thinking of staying in Riverside the Hampton inn is definitely top choice.

Positive: the Lady at The Reception desk was very welcoming and friendly. She gave us the best recommendations for dinner and fun activities. The Continental breakfast was great. My waffle from The Waffle Bar was delicious. Negative: The parking.

The hotel itself was wonderful. 5/5. Just be prepared to pay through the nose for weekday parking. Valet was around $40 plus tip for overnight OR similar pricing for the nearby garage. On-street parking is limited.

On the plus side, streets and the nearby garage have free and plentiful parking on the weekends.
