Rooms were clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful. Best hotel in Mercer especially if you UTV or snowmobile. It’s right on the trail and they do have RENTALS. they also have a bar that serves a full menu of food breakfast too. Great Bloody

Cute, clean, & quiet hotel on a lake. Beautiful views! This hotel is off the beaten path but accessible and well worth the drive!

Handicap room consists of a taller toilet and safety bars in the tub (standard tub), would have like to have seen a walk-in shower.

Breakfast was above average although I recommend check the expiration dates I. The items available.

Only downside was the TV in the room did not work and when we addressed the issue with staff we were told the owner is aware and 2 other rooms are having the same problem. That being said the TV in the common room was working fine….interesting.

We will definitely go back due to the location and the surrounding views!!!

We were in the area with a group of 10 for trail riding. This place is conveniently located close to the trails. The bar/restaurant has great food and friendly service. The only complaint I have is the beds were super hard, but still had no trouble sleeping after a long day on the trails. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was good but the beds seem a little bouncy I think they need to replace their mattresses and the young lady at the desk did not know what the name of the lake was interesting. The Wolf Den Restaurant was good but the atmosphere was a little loud for a Sunday evening so I took my food to go back to my room I just thought that people were talking a little bit loud in there don't even hear myself think.

I have stayed at Great Northern many times, and recently they have made a number of upgrades. We stayed in room 137, and the carpet and drapes were new. The towels were white and fluffy. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. The onsite bar and grill has good food and drinks, and it has a great view of the lake and trail behind the hotel.

Floor stained, bed coverings had been chewed on, smelled on urine, entire room shook when the laundry was running, gave us the option of a different room same issues in that one. During the refund process the receptionist explained to the hotel manager the issues and she responded “that’s fine, we don’t need them”. Awful experience, don’t stay here, it’s worse than Motel 6.

Friends of ours had a terrible experience at great northern. The house keeping came into our room while we were gone for the day & when they returned back, their door to the room was wide open| The front desk didn't care, no apologies no nothing. The response we received was "ehh I wouldn't worry about it"😡|The front desk clerk was very rude, we were told our rooms weren't clean yet(we were there before check in so that was understandable)we just wanted to put our suti cases in the room & hit the trails, another friend in our group checked in later that night & was told her room hasn't been used in a while.|We asked for an old towel to wipe our 4wheelers off with, they gave us one & slammed the laundry door shut afterwards

We've stayed here every year, in the mallard room,rather it be Loon days or not we always enjoy the access to the lake, paddle boat,canoes.Its always a great time. Our daughter out fished her Daddy O' on the paddle boat. Thank you staff for being Great 👍
