Biggest scam ever! They promise you that you can get affordable trips by buying into their club. The truth is that you can book your own trip for thousands less than they can, and you don't have to pay a $5,000 fee and a yearly fee of $200 just to get ripped off!!
The "free" cruise they offered us, we would actually have to pay about $1,000 in taxes and fees and that doesn't even include the additional two airplane tickets and room upgrade for other two kids.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Don't be so dumb like us and buy into it.

Great Destinations is anything but great. In 2018, my wife and I drove two hours to go to a “seminar” where we were instantly pressured to buy. We decided to stay though since we were offered a free cruise, which we planned to use for our 10-year anniversary. In the few hours that we spent at the seminar, there were more salespeople than we could keep track of trying to sell us a vacation package. They acted like vultures circling their prey. All the while, every one of them were lying to our faces about what a great investment we would be making and how the property would always be valuable.
When we got to the point of signing a contract, they went over nothing with us. No mention of interest rates or maintenance fees. In fact, once we had reviewed the paperwork later, we discovered that there were 2 different interest rates listed so we don’t even know which one is accurate.
Never once have we used the timeshare and we do not plan to. We never even got to use the cruise we were promised because there was an expiration date in the fine print that we missed, ruining our anniversary plans.

We were "invited" to a presentation that we attended yesterday. For something that supposedly isn't a timeshare, it sounds an awful lot like one.
We weren't completely "not sold" at the end of the presentation, but we wanted some time to "sleep on it" and see how it would work within our budget, as well as to do our own research. The presentation took 90 minutes as they said, but it took another 45 minutes on top of that for us to not even tell them no, but simply not yet. Having read some of these reviews, it's now a hard NO!

I was first approached by your representative at the Orange County Fair in 2006. The representative
told me this purchase would be a significant investment in my future. This has not been my experience
at all. The presentation was incredibly uncomfortable and I felt that I needed to make a purchase in
order to get out of the room. Once I returned home, I realized that I had not been provided with the
proper documentation regarding my purchase. I am extremely unhappy with the continuous increases
in maintenance fees and the quality of the resorts that are available is not as advertised. I have sent
numerous letters to your corporate office to try and resolve this issue, yet there has been zero response.

PLEASE do not buy this… it has been the biggest headache (financially) of my life. Not at all worth it. About as close to a scam as one can possibly find. Might as well book your travel on Expedia, orbitz, or any other travel site. It’s legal robbery, so don’t fall for the okie doke!!!

I would give no stars. They cheat and lie... Never was willing to work with me. Mislead on what you're actually going to get. They don't go into detail about anything, especially if you're new to that experience. All they do is put you in debt, then blame you like you should've known better. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM. That's what they do... SCAM. NOT RECOMMENDED

Worst customer service ever. Do NOT use them. We had a hardship because of the pandemic and they would not work with us and charged us over $2k in interest and fees. Left multiple voicemails with no response to try and fix this and they simply DO NOT CARE!!! I wished I would have read the reviews prior to ever signing up for this. Thank you Adam, Ana and Carla for being absolutely no help at all.

These people are scam artists. They lied about the maintenance fees and the availability of locations/dates to use your timeshare points. We've been dealing with this headache since 2016. We are now in collection dues to the 840 yearly maintenance fees that have accrued. No one in San Clemente Inn or Great Destinations cares to help us out. Stay away from this place and San Clemente Inn.
