Best restaurant I’ve been in a long time. The drinks are fantastic, the bread was insanely good, and the other food was top notch. Burger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! Nice work!

We ordered the
1. milk bread, 2. Bucatini, 3. G&G burger

The milk bread was the best bread I have had in my life. It was hot and soft, chewy and the pairing of salt and spiced cream was perfect.

The Bucatini was amazing. It was fresh, a little spicy but really comforting.

G&G burger was pretty good too. Bread were well toasted. They didn’t ask how we wanted our meat done but I think it was medium / medium well. All in all the combination of flavors in the burger was good too.

Service was fast and servers were polite and nice Atmosphere was great. The outdoor seating area that was sheltered was what we chose, it was all good except for the occasional need to swat away flies.

10/10 will come back again!

We were looking for a place to eat that stayed open a little later in St. Helena. Goose & Gander was recommended to us by a friend who lives in the area. So happy we did go! The burger was so satisfying and delicious. The fries, worth the calories. The service at the speakeasy was polite and personal with great drinks. I will definitely go back.

Excellent experience. Warm cozy interior. Ordered the wedge salad which was fresh, crunchy and seasoned perfectly. Mushroom papadelle was amazing. My husband loved the burger. Fries are to die for (asked for ours well done) Server was on point. Super wine list. Definitely recommend!

Came here to celebrate an Anniversary with my wife. I mentioned it was an anniversary when booking through Open Table online, and it gave me the option to include bubbles. I did not add that option so my wife and I were pleasantly surprised when our waitress came over with some bubbles and greeted us with a, "Happy Anniversary" and what we thought was complimentary sparkling wine. When we closed out, I noticed that we were charged for two glasses of Mumm (that was not a full pour in either glass) Needless to say, this left a pretty bad taste in our mouths. I used to recommend Goose regularly to my tasting room guests but haven't done so since. I'm sure they will be okay without us, but we are unlikely to return and haven't been back since.

Everything on this menu is amazing. We have been here many times- we love to bring visitors. For starters, they serve the best cocktails in the valley! The mushroom soup is amazing but here’s a little secret tip- ask for the demitasse portion. It’s so rich but so delicious- the small size is perfect. The burger and fries are famous for good reason but this time the NY strip steak was what we were all delighted with! It was the best steak we’ve had in a long time. Desserts were all delicious- especially the bread pudding and the hummingbird cake!

The Goose and the Gander 🪿

This spot was recommended to my by my pool attendant while staying at the @fsnapavalley . Sure glad we paid a visit for cocktails and bites 😋. From appetizers, to mains and drinks, we had a wonderful experience. Also got some suggestions on local stuff to check out while we are here 🎉. When we come back, we will definitely make the short drive to #StHelena and have another Gander 🤭
