Lovely! Experiencing supper at the Golden Spruce was a 5 star experience! My wife had the Tri Tip Sandwich with sweet potato fries. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. Both were top notch in flavor and appearance! The owners were very personable and were also informative about the area and climate. The octagonal log building with a major center support post and vaulted ceiling made the atmosphere open and airy. The owners and the log structure emanated warmth. Thanks!

Excellent lunch of tasty burgers & perfectly smoked tri-tip steak sandwich! The cabins are so cute and well-appointed. Hosts are gracious, accommodating & organized. Highly recommend!

Convenient to the park. Super clean and updated single room cabin.

No bathroom or showers in the room, but they are onsite.

Adding a small fridge to the room would make it great.

We can't say enough wonderful things and would give 6 or more stars if possible! Firstly, the cabins are wonderful, comfortable, super clean and just what a cabin in Alaska should be (we stayed in 2 different cabins, Eagle & Wolf). The property is peaceful and in such a beautiful location and a perfect hub for areas to explore. The property is completely lovely and welcoming and there are beautiful views of the mountains and a fire pit for each cabin. Plus, the bathroom/shower is super clean.
And Yolanda's delicious cooking! We enjoyed delicious veggie burgers and fries for dinner, and her breakfast tacos are huge and the biscuits and gravy are seriously better than what I get here in Texas! Great tasting strong coffee and her latte's are fantastic!
In addition, Yolanda is a treasure! She shares wonderful information on where to find groceries and activities around the area. She is truly a joy to talk with! Thank you for a remarkable stay Yolanda!

Great place to stay when visiting Wrangell-St. Elias National Park! The cabin is well organized as it has a lot of great amenities! Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

Outstanding little coffee bar in a lodge complex near Chitina on the road to McCarthy. The owner was very kind and served us great flat whites with all of our little custom requests for a group of six. She also offers oat milk. It's a little oasis in a remote location. We stopped here twice on our way to and from McCarthy. Definitely visit!

There are not a lot of food options as you head out toward Wrangell-St Elias. So when my friend and I stopped for a coffee and a bite we expected bad drip coffee and a prepackaged microwave breakfast sandwich. Much to our delight the owner had an espresso machine and her americano was great. Not only that, her made from scratch breakfast sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had with a flakey croissant like bun and some sort of herb butter. What a surprise! We timed our departure from the park to ensure we would be here for opening so we could get breakfast one more time.
