Atmosphere- located on Wheeling Island in an old neighborhood (probably not the best area of Wheeling). This restaurant felt compact. Tables were too close together and there wasn’t a lot of them. Looks to be two floors but never went upstairs to see if there was more room up there. Had to wait about ten minutes for a table even though they didn’t seem busy. Just a weird layout.

Service- 4 stars- our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Food- 4 stars- enjoyed the fried dumplings and the Kung Pao Chicken. Large portions! Also got the Chicken and zucchini with garlic sauce- was supposed to be spicy but wasn’t at all- still decent but wish it had some kick to it. Overall a pretty good Chinese restaurant.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had to date is for this really great restaurant! It doesn’t look like much on the outside but the food more than makes up for it! We tried several dishes and all of them were very tasty! A cozy and inviting atmosphere but it can be a little cramped if the restaurant is near capacity. The decor is tasteful, and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

Overall, if you're looking for a great Chinese meal in Wheeling, WV, you can't go wrong with Golden Chopsticks.

We've been coming here for years. My grandmother lived at the south end of the Island and my dad grew up on Wheeling Island. Our favorite thing, hands down, is the Hot and Sour Soup. And we literally compare all other Hot and Sour soups to the Golden Chipsticks soup.

I came in with my BBF and my boyfriend over the Thanksgiving weekend and we were all suprised at the amount of vegetarian options! So many and all sounded so good! Well, I have bragged for years that Golden has the best Hot and Sour which we had to try, we also had to try the vegetarian Hot and Sour. That didn't disappoint at all! We ended up taking containers home for my parents. This might have converted my mom to the vegetarian Hot and Sour, but dad is still a died hard OG Hot and Sour soup fan!! <3

We dined in yesterday and Steph 😊😊was our waitress. She was Awesome, Friendly, Attentive and Very Respectful. The restaurant was clean, nice and very relaxed. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer!!!

Ordered. Received incorrect order. Told 2 employees that I would be waiting in the back parking lot area. Ordered extra sauce. Did not receive any extra sauce. I had to wait over an hour and 30 minutes Worst service. Delivery driver is/was great. Didn't want to give me money back for wrong order.

Who would have ever thought that some of the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life would come from an unassuming building located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Wheeling? Trust me when I tell you that if you are anywhere close to this restaurant you must stop! The food is excellent! Freshly prepared and delicious. Everything we ordered was delicious. It's absolutely wonderful!

Amy was our waitress, we ordered Cashew beef Orange chicken and pork lo mein with crab ragoon appetizers. Our food was hot and fresh. When we go back again we will definitely ask for Amy she has a very cheerful happy personality a great waitress our dining in experience was amazing we truly appreciate her serving us. She was on it didn't miss a beat!

Golden is a classic Chinese American restaurant in Wheeling that I have visited for decades. Food is always fresh, generous servings, efficient service, kind and gracious management, comfortable dining room, and tops in Wheeling. Our family enjoys their sushi, hot n sour soup, steamed dumplings, mapo tofu, Chinese eggplant, sesame chicken, Young chow fried rice, kung pao chicken, Chinese angel hair pasta, moo shu pork with Asian pancake wraps, bok choy with shitake mushrooms, sauteed string beans, orange beef, and steamed whole fish.
You will not regret and walk out happily full.
