I stayed here for a night with my boyfriend and it was wonderful! I can’t speak for the noise since there was a private event the night we stayed and we were out until 2 anyway. We were provided with ear plugs and a white noise machine, which I thought was super considerate. People who complain about the noise are kind of silly, just stay somewhere else. It is listed everywhere that it is also a bar. Also, loved the amenities, truly one of the most unique hotel stays I’ve had. Small detail but I appreciated the cotton pads and swabs, I don’t typically find those in hotels. The woman who checked us in was super nice and hospitable. Overall, amazing experience and I would stay again!

This hotel is so special! You'd never know it the unassuming entrance in what seems like a "sketchy" neighborhood (my cab driver insisted on making sure I got in). be assured that the place is extremely safe. Guests get entry codes rather than keys. I am a woman traveling solo and never once was nervous. The bar/music venue is on par with anything in town or anywhere, but I felt like I had gotten to take part in a quintessential Los Angeles hit music gig. The room! I had the smallest room, but it is not cramped The two drink tokens that they give you were extremely generous. bottled water is free. The coffee bags are really good. Comfortable bed. Yes, you will hear the music, or at least the beat, thumping up to your room even on the very top floor. I used the Sonos system and put on some sleep music when it got to be too much. It's really good here! Can't wait to come back.

I never write reviews but my experience with this hotel was so awful I feel obligated to do so.

Even with earplugs, and up on the 3rd floor, this hotel is too noisy to sleep in until after 2am due to extremely loud music coming from the night club. The furniture in my room was vibrating from the bass, and the walls are so thin I could hear people in the adjacent room talking. I had already paid for 4 nights, but I checked out after the first night due to the noise. In the morning during check out I attempted to explain the situation to the receptionist. I found her rude and dismissive, and she wouldn't let me finish my sentences. She did say her manager would contact me by the end of the day with a possible partial refund. I was never contacted or given a refund. So I paid over $800 for one (sleepless) night. This occurred on Thursday February 20 2025.

I do not recommend this hotel, and if the receptionist/manager are reading this, please make an effort to treat your customers with more respect going forward.

Love this hotel. Clean room with a cool vibes aesthetic…includes a record player with a great set of records and one you even get to take home. Great toiletries, a robe, white noise machine and air purifier and two drink tokens for drinks of choice at the bar. Ear plugs for anyone sensitive to noise from music venue. Staff is super accommodating and friendly.

The hotel is amazing! Inspired by the music industry, the room equipped with every single way you can enjoy music. The room is somewhat small, however very well decorated! Clean, great sounding system, white noise machine in room, good coffee and tea. It also include a token for free drink( cocktail, etc) at the bar downstairs, and a free record to bring home.
They also have a bar, a nice lounge, and record studio! Staff is amazing and very attentive. The will text you on the day you arrive to manage the check in, and this number is very useful whenever there is a question! Can't complaints!
The location is close to central ( 2 miles away ish), however I don't think I'm comfortable enough to go out during the night time in this area.
Overall lovely experience!

Saw a great show, loved our room, including the white noise filter, and appreciated the thoughtful service. Area not my favorite, but Gold Digger’s restaurant list is excellent! Tons of great food nearby.

I simply cannot express how incredible my experience at this hotel was. I’ve never been made to feel so welcome from any establishment in my years of travelling. Not only is the hotel designed and decorated to perfection, with generous amenities, modern devices and entertainment facilities, comfortable beds and bathrooms. The location is excellent, the staff are friendly and the vibe is simply incredible. The bar is such a great venue and the addition of door entry and free drinks was such a wonderful touch. They were kind enough to store my luggage in the recording studio prior to my evening flight, which made my day so much easier. I can say with absolute certainty that I will not stay in any other hotel when I return to LA in the future. As I work in the music industry, the convenience of a recording studio within the complex is incredibly convenient. I can’t wait to return in future. Thank you!

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year.
It was incredible. The hospitality, cleanliness, all incredible. However, this stay was very different. The associate who checked me in made me feel like a burden. I arrived early and made it very clear I did not expect an early check in nor did I want to be charged for an early check in fee. Since this is a boutique hotel there is not a traditional waiting room but there is a lounge. I asked to wait in the lounge until my room is ready at 3:00 pm. When I arrived I was immediately treated like a burden. First I had to wait on Santa Monica blvd for 15+ minutes before someone noticed I had texted in and let them know I was there. When someone finally received my message they made an excuse about how my message must have not come through on their end. I had multiple bags of luggage and as a female traveling alone I felt very unsafe waiting outside. Once I was finally checked in the female associate complained the entire time about having to assist with my bags. They have no elevator so it was only stairs. This is a different associate than has assisted me in the past so I’m not sure if they’re under new management or this is a new hire. She kept making comments about how heavy my bags were and made me feel embarrassed for simply existing.

Once I finally arrived to my room, I was exhausted from a stressful day of travel. When I laid down I noticed the pillows had a very interesting smell but I disregarded this and eventually the smell went away. The next day I had dropped an item under one of the hotel chairs and went to retrieve it. Upon moving the chair it was DISGUSTING. Clearly, this area had been completely untouched by the cleaners. Dust, crumbs, zip ties were under the chair. Gross. When I wore socks my feet were completely black after a few minutes. When you shower, the smell of sewage is extremely prominent. I had to make a comment to my boyfriend that….the smell wasn’t me. I would let all of this go if it wasn’t for the FIFTY dollar change on my invoice for ā€œdamaged towelsā€ that they could not provide evidence of I travel for work and I have for many years. Never in my life have I been charged for something like this. Insane. I do not wear excessive make up so I can’t imagine what this could possibly be. It seems not only is this hotel going down in quality but it is clearly desperate for money. As someone who loved this place and recommended it to so many friends and family, do yourself a favor and book anywhere else in LA!
