My husband surprised me with a date day. We headed over to the Gig Harbor/Purdy area for the day. We went to Penrose State Park, then Rosedale Gardens, then out to eat at Anthony's in Gig Harbor, followed by an amazing gondola ride.

I didn't even know we had anything like this here. If you want a Venice styled ride but right here in Washington, I highly recommend.

Our gondolier was Greg. He was awesome. Very accommodating, kind, had a great voice... he sang to us!!! And super knowledgeable of the Gig Harbor area and history. He provided a ton of awesome info on the area as we road around the harbor.

The scenery was beautiful. The mountain made an appearance. The water was calm. The folks in the yachts, homes and businesses along our path were nice, welcoming and loved to send a wave. We were out on the water for 90 minutes. Was just my husband and I. But the boats can accommodate up to six passengers. Bring a blanket, a bottle of wine, they have a wine key and glasses and enjoy the beautiful Harbor. Was so much fun getting to do something new and so unique.

We had a great time with John on a beautiful February afternoon! We had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather, which is totally understandable (and expected for February). Communication was super easy to coordinate a new day and time. I appreciated the flexibility and we ended up having perfect weather for a full harbor tour.
We packed a picnic to bring with us, but ended up eating it afterwards because we were so engaged in the scenery and John's commentary on GH history and lore.
100% recommended without hesitation!

Absolutely one of the most memorable activities for family visiting from out of state. The gondola is straight out of Italy, and John, the gondolier, is fantastic - from the insightful info he provided about Gig Harbour, his beautiful Italian serenade, and his ease of navigating the water. It was such a delightful experience. Price was very reasonable for 4 of us, and John was able to accommodate us on short notice. Added bonus is that you can bring your own snacks on the boat if you like, and there's a food truck nearby. Would highly recommend this unique and fun experience. It's the next best thing to being in Venice!!

We had a great time on the gondola! Beautiful quiet morning on the Harbor and John was an excellent gondolier with a deep knowledge of the harbor. He makes everyone feel right at home.

To fully enjoy the ride, we brought some food and Prosecco. We'd recommend the same if you're planning an outing.

Greg took my sister and I on a beautiful gondola ride around Gig Harbor telling us the history about the harbor. The gondola itself is a work of art. So incredibly beautiful. The views were fantastic and the ride was so peaceful. Greg has an incredible voice and sang to us while touring us around the harbor. We highly recommend and would do it again. One of the best things we did during our stay in Gig Harbor.

What an amazing excursion!!!
John was an absolute delight and his gondola was gorgeous. He filled the voyage with wonderful facts and history about gig harbor and treated us to his beautiful voice in Italian!!
This is a must for a romantic, peaceful time on the water!

We had such a wonderful and memorable time on our cruise through the harbor. Greg was excellent and provided us with so much neat history about Gig Harbor. The gondola itself is literally a piece of art, beautiful and so amazing to ride on. This was easily our favorite part of our trip to Gig Harbor and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a super rad and unique thing to do.
