This was our 2nd trip with Get Up & Go Alaska. Everything was so well-planned and perfectly executed. We did Alaska Ranger at the end of Aug, the last trip of the season.

Nicole, our guide, took care of everyone. She made sure everyone had just the right amount of activity and challenge and food was fantastic.

We saw bears, moose, caribou and dall sheep. We hiked, white water rafted, canoed and glacier hiked.

This is definitely the way to see Alaska!!!!

I recently went on a two-week tour with Get Up and Go Alaska, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. Safety is paramount, especially in Alaska, which is known for its wildlife, and unfortunately, this company did not prioritize it.

During the trekking portion of the tour, the guides failed to make an effort to keep the group together, which is concerning in bear country. It's crucial to stick together for safety, and the lack of effort in this regard was unsettling.

The most alarming incident occurred during a canoeing excursion when both guides- Andy and Casey- chose to paddle together in the same canoe, defying all logic. This decision left my companion and me stranded when we capsized. We waited for over an hour, soaked in glacial waters, in the wilderness of a bear country. To make matters worse, it was sheer luck that we were rescued- the guides had not even noticed our absence and repeatedly rebuffed pleas from other members of the group to look for us.

Due to the safety concerns and the overall lack of attention to detail, I decided to cut my tour short after one week. While I did receive a refund, it did not cover the cost of the flight change fee I had to pay to leave early. This only added to my disappointment with the whole experience.

Get Up and Go indeed- far, far away from them as possible!

This is the way to see Alaska! We just returned from our Get Up & Go Lodge Based Tour! We had an incredible time and I would highly recommend it for anyone who has a bit of adventure in your blood. We have a family of six with the youngest being 10 and it was the perfect balance of activities and adventure.

Sophie, our guide, was awesome! She really bent over backwards to make sure everyone was having a great time and doing the things we wanted to do but also making sure that we knew the can't miss items. She took us on great hikes that we would have never found without her and her cooking skills were excellent. We highly recommend her if you get a choice.

The lodging accommodations were first class and we would never have picked where we stayed if we did it on our own! Very comfortable and scenic locations with exceptional, personal service.

The team at Get Up & Go communicated clearly and was very organized. They helped us select our activities based on our interests and helped guide us without being pushy. They were patient with multiple emails and questions leading up to the trip.

If you are the type that enjoys sitting on a beach and reading a book during vacation this might not be the vacation for you (with that said I did have enough rest to read two books). Also - remember that most of the activities are extra costs and some dinners are not included (you eat out) so you will spend more than just the Get Up & Go fee. You won't feel pressure to do anything and the costs are transparent (your choice – no surprise fees).

Fantastic 10 Alaska Explorer tour. Our guides were knowledgeable and accomodating and always kind. Jam packed schedule for the full ten days with experiences beyond my dreams. Give this no frills bucket list loaded adventure a go.
