We love the food. It's probably our favorite Italian in East County. We've been there a couple of times, and the service is never good. Nice enough people, just slow, and we never really get checked on. We will most likely keep going because the food is so good.

We have been hearing about this place for years and we were really excited to go. The first thing you notice when you enter the door is a tank full of fresh lobsters in which you can pick out for your dish. There is an outdoor patio which is dog friendly so we brought our pup with us. Maybe that is the reason the service was so bad. The lady did not introduce herself (not a big deal), but when I asked if I could modify a pasta, she replied “if you want to”. She never checked on us to see how everything was. Never offered to refill our soda and when we asked, we were informed that they do not offer refills but you need to pay again. Now for the food. We ordered a large pepperoni, jalapeño, and bacon pizza, creamy tortellini with added mushrooms, and fettuccine Alfredo. The pastas dishes were large and full of creamy, buttery, and cheesy flavor, but the pizza was not good at all. Extremely thin crust sitting in a pool of grease which made the bread soggy. As we were finishing, the waitress came out and asked “anything else” which we replied just some boxes please. She came out with the boxes and dropped the check and came back out 2 mins later as we were still boxing up our pasta (we didn’t even look at the bill yet to pay). We found it awfully rude to rush to get the money, but you didn’t even care to check on us the entire time when there were literally 3 other tables dining inside. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Family owned Italian restaurant since 1974! My Go-to-chicken Cesar salad, and wild caught lobster wonderful service and food . Been coming here for more then several years

I have to say that I was not impressed with this place, it's service, or food. The food was mediocre. I had the Lobster ravioli. Which was nothing special. The veggie soup was very flavorful. The antipasto salad was not good at all. The meat tasted a little funky. The service was not very good. There was only one cook and one waitress. I heard someone complain about how long things were taking. The waitress was servicing about four different tables at the time. Three had four people at each, the other had one person. From the time we received our drinks it took about 15 -20 minutes for her to come back to our table to take our food order. I will not visit this place again. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

We love eating at Gaetanos! Whether we eat at the restaurant or take out the food is always delicious, and customer service is always great too! Highly recommend you try it 😀. The restaurant opens at 3:30, so check their schedule before going.

This place has been around for a long time. The pizzas are great. It’s a nice little family restaurant. My wife loved the lasagna. It came with a house salad and garlic bread.

I called in my order and picked up two pizzas to bring home for dinner. The Quattro formaggio was perfect with spinach added to it. The crust was so crisp and thin, it made the perfect base for the yummy cheese toppings! The pepperoni pizza was crisp as well and my family loved it!
