We booked for two days because our house was getting worked on-and because I read such excellent reviews. Sad to say it was we got a room that had old furniture the bedding looked like it was from the thrift store. There were stains on the blanket the comforter and the both sheets. I was disgusted 🤮 disappointed but even more than that the tv wasn’t working and the Dodgers were on. Of course we complained I just wanted to leave. Anyway another room was offered. Acceptable but we’ll never go back. This hotel has higher reviews than the Doubletree!!! Not even close. How could they have such differences in rooms. This is not good business.

Close to everything.
When we pulled up I thought Friendly Inn was such a quaint place. The service was great. But I was so very pleasantly surprised when we went in our room. It was super clean, nicely decorated, modern & updated. And so very comfortable. We stayed 5 nights and you can bet when we come back to visit this is where we will stay. It was a wonderful stay. Quite, super clean, excellent service, updated yet still a quaint place. It felt like our home away from home. Thanks so much!

What a great find and a great deal. Everything was in perfect condition, it was newly refurbishment, super clean, comfy bed. Pretty quiet location. Convenient too. We arrived very late as our plane at LAX was a late flight. Check-in was easy.

Positives:
-Staff was kind
-Walking distance to some restaurants and stores
-Pretty quite considering it's next to a busy street
-Felt safe
-Good price
-Overall clean

Negatives:
-Some not so good smells in the room. Lingering strong ammonia smell and the shower curtain didn't smell clean. Bathroom smelled moldy.
-Pillows were soft but the bed was not very comfortable.
-The floor shifted levels from the bathroom vanity to the sleeping space which made me trip - my neighbors below me could probably hear me stomping around.
-Due to the hotel being older you can hear people walking in the rooms near you and outside. Building would shake randomly - perhaps a large truck was going by on Whittier Blvd.
-If you are light sleeper you will hear the traffic noise from Whittier Blvd.

Overall a nice stay but can use some improvements to make it a 4/5 star stay in my humble opinion. Hope this information is helpful to anyone reading, thank you.

We had a generously sized room with two queen beds, a table with 2 chairs, still leaving room to walk around, with plenty of storage room. Shower was also spacious. All decor and fixtures were updated and fresh. Room was very quiet, even when at full occupancy. Very comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. There were 4 pillows on each bed to start! No need to ask for extras! Perfect accommodations!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The vacation itself was awful but the hotel manager was an ANGEL. When we had a late night incident he called to check in and he even checked the cameras for us. He made sure we all made it back to our room safe. The room was clean and nice. It was the perfect size for my friend and I, but may seem small if you wanted something more luxurious. When I travel I only care that my room is clean and the area is safe and that was met in addition to the care by management. Thank you so much. Will definitely come back when we need to stay near the Buena Vista area.

Rooms look nice but are not cleaned well. My comforter was dirty, and some parts of the room were as well.

There is a strict no visitor rule, the front desk lady was very rude when explaining this rule. They will kick you with no refund for anything. I wouldn't stay at this place unless less I truly had to again. They asked for a bunch of personal information that no hotel neess to know. The lock on my door was broken
