My husband and I rented the Wilderness cabin as a weekend getaway. This was our first trip without our kids in over 3 years. The cabin is beautiful, clean and cozy. The hot tub was warm and relaxing. We loved that this cabin wasn't one to any one and had privacy for relaxation. We loved all of the small details in the decor and amenities. It was so peaceful that while sitting on the porch deer came out of the woods to eat. We will definitely be renting again! Thank you Four Fillies!

My family and I rented the Wilderness Lodge and thought it was perfect! The attention to detail was impressive! The cabin was decorated so cute, it was very clean, and had anything you could have needed for your stay! Hot tub was well maintained and perfect! I will definitely be visiting again! I've stayed at several cabins here at Four Fillies Lodge, and I love the uniqueness of all the cabins. They have very neat themes. My favorite has been the Kenya Safari Lodge. Will definitely be back!

Stayed solo in The View Cabin for a night and it was delightful! I do appreciate the easy no hassle check in. Cabin was clean and well appointed. Coffee provided and everything you would need for an easy meal in or just a short drive to some eateries in the little town. Waking up to the creek was tranquil and the deck hammock was a cool and comfy touch. The bed was a bit on the firm side for my liking but I could see others really appreciating that. There is no WiFi but you get phone reception fine.The owners were communicative and responded quickly via text which was nice. It was raining the entire time so I didn’t get to explore the grounds but looked nice. The area is scenic mountain oasis with New River Gorge state park close and many hiking options. I personally went to Cascade Falls in Pembroke VA (only 30 min away) the following day for a leisurely hike.

Overall 5 stars. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Only suggestion would be some hooks for hanging jackets by the door.

I’m a Monroe County native and I am so thankful for the Four Fillies as it’s super convenient for me to come in and visit family now instead of having to stay further away in Princeton or Lewisburg. The grounds are very clean and well maintained. We’ve stayed in the Wilderness Cabin and the Storybook Cottage. Both are great for our family of 5. We didn’t have WiFi in the Storybook Cottage and that’s listed but we have TMobile and have full 5G service so I was able to use my hotspot for the Roku TV. The bath house is very clean and the water pressure is great! The stay has always been peaceful and we haven’t had any issues. I definitely recommend staying here for a serene stay.

Stayed here in Sep 2024 and it was one of the most relaxing weekends I’ve had with the family. Fishing creek cabin was perfect for a family of 4 with a dog and was right on the creek. Was in town for a wedding but I’d definitely go back if in the area.

Great weekend with family. We stayed in the cowboy cabin and the boathouse. Group of 8, plenty of room and made some amazing memories! Cabins were cute and clean. My Nieces really enjoyed the hot tubs 😊

I absolutely loved staying at Four Fillies Lodge!!! We stayed in the one of the glamping pods, Maid Marian, which was perfect for our trip. We were initially supposed to be in Asheville for vacation, but when the hurricane happened we had to find an alternative place last minute. We had found another Airbnb cabin in Virginia, but after driving 7 hours and with our reservation confirmed, we were told they had double booked us due to a calendar syncing issue with Vrbo and Airbnb. After having to pivot plans twice last minute, I was about to give up on any sort of vacation happening, so frustrated and tired, but then I stumbled across this place on Google! Since we couldn’t find another cabin in Virginia we decided to book the one glamping pod that was still available and come to West Virginia instead, which was on our way home from Virginia. I really wanted to see New River Gorge, so it worked out well since it’s less than an hour away from the property. The property was so beautiful and serene, we are already thinking about when we can come back next. Our golden retriever also loved it and we found some great local spots to check out like Linden’s Deli and Cascade Falls Trail, a great nearby hiking spot we actually liked even better than Grandview Overlook, a hike we did at New River Gorge National Park. Overall the property was really peaceful, clean, and relaxing. There’s a beautiful stream that runs through the property as well as a hiking trail that we enjoyed walking our puppy on. I also really liked how modern and nice the private bathroom was with a rainfall shower, as I wasn’t sure what to expect my first time glamping, but it was very enjoyable and I’m usually not the easiest to impress! It felt like a home away from home and an oasis I would love to escape back to. I even joked with my boyfriend I wish I could live there all year because it had a nice sense of community while still having a lot of serene nature and privacy.
