Peaceful and beautiful old coastal country house near the water with an amazing suite that I stayed in. The ambiance, the nature and the amenities to include a truly gourmet breakfast made this a 10 star stay. The hosts Carol and David truly make this place comfortable and welcoming. Your privacy is respected but can’t help but feeling you are home. Kayaking, Bird Watching, Fishing, Sunrise and Sunsets, solid food options nearby and world class cycling on the less traveled country roads. Was blessed to get a reservation as this a next level experience. Highly recommend a stay at Foster’s

My husband and I came here for our 25th Anniversary. It was the perfect place
David and Carol were exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 days and didn't want to leave. Breakfast each morning was excellent. We were able to just relax in a beautiful suite with beautiful surroundings. The dock was great. Looking forward to doing this again.

We have stayed in many B&Bs over the years. This was one of the best. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. David and Carol are the most gracious of hosts. They greeted us warmly and showed us all of the wonderful amenities available to us. In addition to a lovely and comfortable room, we had access to a hot tub, fire pit, and our own private deck complete with Adirondack chairs which overlooked inviting grounds. A quiet walk through the woods led us to a dock overlooking marsh grass with water in the distance. The path is lit with string lights and includes chairs to sit and relax. Insect repellent is even provided!||Breakfast was a culinary delight! Carol is a marvelous cook and the coffee was better than any we’ve had! We left each morning knowing we wouldn’t need any lunch!||It goes without saying, though, that what we enjoyed most was meeting Carol and David. They were like old friends we hadn’t seen in awhile - so easy to talk to. We will miss them! We would be remiss if we didn’t mention their dog, Bella. What a joy she is! ||If you are considering a visit to Mathews, don’t hesitate to stay at Bethel Beach Inn. It’s a little bit of paradise!

The beauty of the setting connected me to nature and peacefulness. The room was spacious, with lots of comfortable seating. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was large and well appointed with everything I could possibly need. The separate outside entrance lead into a small hallway with refrigerator. Among the treats in the refrigerator was a plate of huge, delicious cookies. What a nice surprise. The property for the beautiful 200 year old farmhouse extends over 12 acres. A short walk through a wooded area leads you to a brand new dock and comfortable chairs for sitting and contemplating nature. The Chesapeake Bay can be seen in the distance. Carol and David, my hosts, really made me feel welcomed. I wasn’t used to having people available to meet my every need. There is a breakfast menu from which you can choose and I enjoyed two delicious selections during my stay. Leaving and going back to the real world was kind of tough. Thanks, Carol and David. I had a wonderful stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The guest suite is very private with its own entrance. The bed was SO comfortable, with adjustable firmness and down bedding. The bedroom and bathroom are both very spacious and well appointed. Mini fridge with wide variety of complimentary snacks and waters. Hosts are very welcoming and offered so many activities for us: to build a bonfire, prepare the hot tub for our use, let us use their bikes to ride to the beach, or put kayaks in the water. Carol cooked an amazing breakfast- fresh fruit, coffee, juice, sausage and eggs Benedict (all of which were all superb)! The setting is beautiful and so peaceful. There is a private deck overlooking the nice yard and a lighted path through the woods to a dock with a spectacular view. Highly recommend!

Lovely, serene home on a quiet country lane. Perfect hosts. The bay wilderness is just beyond the perfectly landscaped yard. Inside our suite, we had all the modern comforts needed to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Breakfast is delish. Carol has created something very special here. I hope everyone enjoys their home and Mathews County as much as we do.

Carol and David were Wonderful Hosts. The Pineapple Suite was amazing Very clean and Comfortable. Amazing Breakfasts. We enjoyed the Peace and Quiet and the small towns surrounding. We definitely will be back to stay in the Pineapple Suite
