My family and I have come to the Landing Zone/Officer's Club since the 1990's. The food and service for their Sunday brunch have always been outstanding, UNTIL Five Star Catering was awarded the contract.

My father called Tuesday prior to Sunday's Brunch to make reservations for 4 at 11:00 am. The person whom he spoke to confirmed all the information and it was correct.

We showed up on time for our reservations, but the hostess didn't see our name on the list. She said no problem, and added us. Since it was spring break and a lot of people were out of town, they found us a table....

We went to the buffet. The plates have gone from dinner sized plates to "salad" size plates. The omelettes were small. The hashbrowns were cold, burnt, and rubbery. The fettuccine and other casserole dishes looked way overdone and cold. The prime rib well well done. All of this at 11:00, when they just started the brunch.

We came back to our table, and to our surprise, ANOTHER family had joined us....at our table!!! Somehow, two families, who didn't know each other, were placed at the same table. Interesting since this was 11:00, they just opened, and only 10-15% of the room was occupied.
It was a nice family, and they said the same thing we said. They have been coming since the 90's and the food and service were excellent. However; since Five Star took over, it was horrible. We will not be going back to the Landing Zone until another catering company is contracted.
